Lets say the Jags don't go pass rusher at 3, who do you like at wr between Cooper and White? Imo watching a few game tapes of each the answer is easily White, he just looks the part or a physical wr who also has speed to make plays. Cooper ceiling looks lower imo, but many think he'll fit in as a slot wr. But imo if you are picking at 3 and go WR he has to be a dominate number 1 wr. For the record though I'd rather go Williams/Beasley/Fowler or Gregory but if Dave decides Bortles is the number 1 priority and we go wr I like White, but would like to hear why a lot of people are on Coopers bandwagon, I just don't see it, maybe i'm missing something?
Cooper and it's not close.
I take Cooper because he "checks all the boxes"
Cooper is deemed to be a more polished WR overall.
Not as big or as fast, but a much better route runner and hands.
Cooper. The tape doesn't lie
I have them about equal as far as prospects go.
For the Jags, I'd go White. He fits the role of what the Jags need more than Cooper. White is better in the run game, which we want to be a run first team. White has more over the top ability. Cooper certainly can get over the top, but he is more suited to intermediate routes. The Jags already have Robinson who fits that role. White/Robinson is more dynamic than Cooper/Robinson.
For a team like the Raiders, I would go with Amari Cooper since he is a little safer and they need a reliable receiver for Carr over the athletes that they have now.

I agree with this. I really think Bortles could use a more physical receiver. White plays angry. I want an angry receiver with a chip on their shoulder. I do think White's physique will translate better in the run game when blocking.
White. White is a true game changer receiver. Cooper is good but doesn't come close to the ceiling White has. I'd rather trade down a few spots and take Parker than pick Cooper at 3.
White may have potential to be more of a big play guy, but Cooper looks like he will be that 100+ reception a season guy that teams won't be able to scheme away.
Cooper can beat you in multiple ways. I'd take him over White in a heartbeat.
In a best case scenario for both players, it comes down to this:
A high targets wide receiver with 100 catches for 1400 yards and average run blocking or;
An average targets wide receiver with 80 catches for 1400 and elite run blocking skills.
If you want to run your offense through a wide receiver then go with Cooper. If you want big plays efficiently and to have a power run game then go with White.

He ran just as fast as White did. His 40 time was deemed incorrect at the combine. They sent out memos to all teams notifying that he ran between a 4.35 and 4.38 40.

Cooper is that Marvin Harrison/Jimmy Smith type WR. He can beat you with speed. He can beat you with clean route running. He can beat you physically by out jumping or out muscling you. He can do it all.
Cooper but White is no slouch.

I like Torry Holt as a good comparison
