whew, thats a hefty suspension right there. i also wanted him expecting maybe a 4 game suspension. 10 games pretty much kills it though.
once again looks like the jaguars knew what they were doing.

Ouch 10 games. Sucks for him and the cowboys.

Wow that's rough. Talk about foresight. Glad now we didn't sign him

Yeah I'm really surprised to see how hard the NFL came down on Hardy. Looks like Dallas is on the hook for $7M, based on reports.

The vast majority of his contract was incentive based, so Dallas should be paying him much.

Didn't they sign him to a one year deal? So, they'll get 6 games out of him.

The bright side is it's unlikely he'll get hurt those 10 games. So they'll have him in the playoffs and they'll have him while trying to get into the playoffs.

From a Cowboys perspective, they probably are looking at the situation in which if Greg Hardy stays out of trouble, he could be a difference maker for them down the stretch and in the playoffs. Their expectations are a Super Bowl Championship and likely believe Hardy can be a difference maker for them when the chips are on the line.
Being that the Jaguars are probably at least a year away from being at a level in which the team can be a major factor in the playoffs, Hardy isn't the fit that he can potentially be in Dallas this year.

Looks like he's eligible to come back for the thanksgiving game against.... The Panthers.

He got very little guaranteed money because they weren't sure how long his suspension would be.
The NFL is also getting psych eval on him

Yeah, I was in favor of signing Hardy too. Didn't know he would get 10 games suspension. Win for the Jags coaching staff.

Then he comes back and makes 5 million over the last 6 weeks. So harsh.

That's one positive to come out of this.

After reading the report and the results of the investigation, this guy is a total dirtbag. The fact that he'll have an opportunity to get back on the field this year is surprising. Even more disappointing is that any team would be eager to have him on their roster. There should be some expected blowback for the Cowboys on this, especially knowing there's a major push by the league on addressing domestic violence issues.

When they let mjd go
When they let knighton go
When they let cox go....
Lot of good decisions lately.
Nothing to try and be modest about.
Feels good to be on the better side of things.

You might want to let the league know that considering the resources they've invested in their anti domestic violence campaign.
