We've all seen the mocks now with the many variations of the Jags picking one of Williams, Beasley, Fowler, Cooper, or White. Last year Dave and crew shocked the world by picking Bortles who almost no one had going to Jacksonville. For the sake of fun if Dave decides to make the media look foolish again who do you think it could be? Who is your "left fielder" pick?
Maybe Dupree? I don't see that happening but possible.

Drafting Mariota and then trading him to the Eagles for all of their picks this year and next.
Bud Dupree. He fits a need and is a good prospect, but very few people have him going in the top 10 let alone third overall.
Dupree has been rising in mocks. It might shock the world a bit if he is taken at 3, but there are guys I respect that have him in the top 10 so it wouldn't be mind blowing to me. My preference would be Williams if he's there or to trade back a few spots and still be able to get one of the top pass rushers, but what do I know. I'm not one to get upset about that which I know that I am unable and unwilling to put the time and effort into evaluating these guys properly. Just get it right, Jags.
I do kind of enjoy when we take a guy that no one was talking about going to us. That's probably just the contrarian in me though.
Bortles really wasnt a surprise pick, he was a top 10 QB prospect and we needed a QB bad, Dave just hid that he liked Bortles a lot, the guy visited and some thought he would go number 1.
Only real surprise would be Gurley, or Gregory now after the failed drug tests

I can say with reasonable accuracy though,, that whichever player Alfie is touting will be/should be the Jags pick,, it will almost assuredly be someone else.
Dupree is a piece of clay that would be very tempting to try and mold, but that's not something u wanna do at three
