Here is the toot your own horn thread, what players you didnt want the Jaguars to draft that became a bust.

Particularly players a lot of people on this board wanted but you were against.

Two for me are Christian Ponder and Jason Smith LT Baylor, a lot of people on  this board wanted them bad

I got in a lot of arguments about Jason Smith lol, I flat out said he was gonna be a bust, and Ponder I told people exactly what he was small, week arm, not very athletic not gonna be a good NFL QB.

Geno

Tebow. Probably the most popular answer.

Locker. I wanted no part of him.

Stephen Hill. I still have no idea what people saw that made them think he'd be good

Too easy of an answer since it was a popular topic and most people didnt want him

I rather see people using their scout eye hat then getting into that stuff
Tim Tebow

He's not a bust, and I didn't exactly NOT want him -- but I was concerned about Justin Blackmon's DUI the year we drafted him.  Especially since people were bringing up Michael Floyd's past instances.  (I remember being the Cardinals GM for the Message Board Mock Draft, and drafted Floyd)

Looking more and more likely that Johnny Manziel will be on that list.
Reggie Williams and Derrick Harvey! lol
Does Gene Smith count?
Mark Barron
Jimmy Clausen
Tebow

Geno Smith

(although, I'm not sure if it's too early to officially say "bust," but it sure doesn't look good).

Definitely not with the 2nd overall pick like most people wanted. Too early to call him a bust, but definitely easy to see he was worth a first round pick.
Geno, Tebow, and Manziel (maybe too early).

Mark Sanchez and Matt Leinart! There was so much hype over these 2 x Usc quarterbacks but I didn't like either. Both had work ethic issues coming in to nfl. Leinart had such a weak arm. Sanchez I thought was just ok at USC nothing special to separate him.
Gabbert
I won't lie one that I knew would be a bust was Gabbert. I always hang my hat on that one lol. I remember before that draft a buddy and I was talking about players and he asked me about him. I flat out told that guy that Gabbert was a 5th round pick. I said he had no feel for the game, he looks stiff he didn't even produce in college. The night we drafted him he immediately called me and laughed. He said "you better pray that 5th round pick works out for your team". I never wanted to be so wrong in my life.

I also recall Vic Ketchman expressing strongly that felt that Jason Smith wasn't remotely close to a top prospect in the 2009 Draft.   I believe Vic felt that Smith was more along the lines of a late 1st Round prospect.

I thought that Jason Smith had a good chance to follow the path of Jason Peters as a former TE developing into an athletic high caliber LT.  Injuries set Smith back but his NFL failure was clearly beyond the injury factor.    The Jason Smith mistake is one of the many reasons the St. Louis Rams haven't even had a .500 since 2006.

Didn't TMD have a huge crush on him?
