1010XL just broke that Hernandez has been found guilty of first degree murder.
Confirmed here.
A bit surprised considering it took them 6 days to come to the conclusion. A lot of times if a jury deliberates a long time a not guilty or hung jury verdict is mot likely.
It was pretty obvious he did it though.

Without parole.
It's great.. to be.. incarcerated..

An appropriate sentence would be for Aaron Hernandez to become Lawrence Phillips' new cellmate.
Wow.
Not a surprise given how much evidence there was, and even given the argument by the defense that actually puts Hernandez at the scene at the time.
Sad all around to be honest.
While the verdict represents "justice" for the victim's family and society as a whole it doesn't bring the victim back.
Hernandez's life is now considered by most a waste.
A lot of circumstantial evidence in this case. The Massachusetts joint venture law really helped the prosecution in this one.
He looks more annoyed than shocked. Kind of like..."who do I gotta pay to get this taken care of".

Or "who do I gotta kill to break out?"

pretty typical of people in the mafia. he thinks he is above the law even when they read his guilty verdict

This website's header takes on special meaning today.
They need to start executing some of these murderers in prison.. So tired of the tax payers having to pay for 3 hots and a cot for these scumbags..

Sadly no, which is why I firmly argue against the concept of athletes being role models.
Yes, kids look up to them.
But often times, their admiration is based upon athletic exploits with little knowledge of the character that makes up the athlete.
A guy neither you nor your kid have met, playing football hundreds, maybe thousands of miles away from the TV you are watching, has no business or obligation to raise your child.
