The Gordon pick is awful but Is almost as bad as the Manziel pick last year
Come on now. It's not as bad as Manziel as long as he sees the field period. I think Gordon in the right situation will be a stud. Now are the browns the right situation? Probably not with West and Crow already eating up carries. But hey that's why this is a mock draft they're never accurate.
I'm stoked to get to round two to see who's left for sexy Rexy and the bills lol
I've been waiting to make this cardinals pick for a week lol

yeah this is pretty terrible.

Its  beyond terrible.

It's been 20 hours since the last pick. At this rate we won't even finish the first round before the actual draft. Who's pick is it and have they been messaged?

they have been messaged. i think its NYC. the annoying part is that these people have been on and just arent putting their picks in.

last time it was his pick he didnt pick because he was expecting a pm message. He gets a pm message and still doesnt pick?

You're entitled to your opinion. I prefer to have a stud RB when I don't know what kind of play I'm going to get from the QB position. Had this been a real draft those picks would've been packaged for a QB, but since we're just picking I'm taking a guy on whose back I can put the entire season.
This is starting to get sad and a huge drag. If you couldn't commit, why did you bother signing up.

Maybe we should start this two months before the draft next year

I recall that was done at least on two occasions.   The benefit is there's much more time to finish.   The downside is so much new information comes out about players in the last month to 6 weeks  prior to the draft.   Including injury info and drug/ character related info.

One thing that can be considered in the future or even starting with the remainder of this year's mock draft is to have a backup person for each team.   That can include someone that already has a team.    Then if someone doesn't make a selection in 8 hours or whatever time frame that's chosen,  the backup would take over unless the original person provided a list to someone that can provide the information.

After seeing your reply,  I checked to see who is scheduled to make the next pick.  It's Caldrac ( Bengals ).  However,  Caldrac has not logged in since April 10,  which is before we even determined who will be making the picks.   My suggestion would be for someone else to pick for the Bengals.  Then if Caldrac logs in and still wants to participate,  he would draft for another team that hasn't picked yet.

In the next 40 minutes or so,   I'm going to be out for a few hours.   But I will check this thread when I get back to see what has transpired and gladly offer input especially if this thing isn't moving by then.

the alternative is we can start a new one, get maybe 16 dedicated people together and assign 2 teams. i think we would have a good chance of getting 16 people who can make it work right.

I can't speak for anyone else but would be comfortable with what you suggested.   I gladly would take two teams.   While the next two weekends I won't be able to participate from around 6:30pm tomorrow through around 9:00pm on Saturday Night,  I would provide a list to someone.   That's my plan as well if we continue the current mock draft.

What I think we should do is put together a list of people who truly want to participate in this moving forward.    This thread can be used for that.
One other suggestion if enough people prefer to start a new mock draft.   At least once the method that was used is for each pick,   the first player that received 3 votes would be the selection for that team.   If I recall,  that type of mock draft went much more quickly.   The upside to this method is the others don't have to wait for anyone in particular for the pick to be made.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE IN A MOCK DRAFT. SEND ME OR D6 A PM AND WE WILL TRY THIS AGAIN.

you have to make sure you will actually make your picks. if you cant do it. dont participate.
