I can't see the Jaguars trading for a 30 year old back, I don't care how good AP is. They'll draft their future workhorse in 3 weeks, the quote below is from rotoworld, I love the last line

SI's Peter King calls the Jaguars his "upset special" team that could trade for Adrian Peterson.
It's an obvious long shot, as King notes, but the Jaguars are still $32 million-plus under the cap and flirted with DeMarco Murray in free agency as they search for a foundation back. They weren't willing to meet Murray's $8 million-per-year asking price, so it's hard to see them trading a premium draft pick and paying Peterson's $12.75 million salary. The Jaguars aren't run by Gene Smith anymore.
So it could happen if the Vikings would be willing to take a late round pick and if AP will cut his salary in half. I would probably have a better shot at winning tonight's lottery than for those two things to happen.
In other words, a lot of jag fans are falling for click bait.

Bingo.
To me its a big reach. I guess the fact that the Jaguars took Toby Gerhart, and they figure with AP & him reunited they would continue to run well for the Jaguars. The fact that the Jaguars have the need at RB combined with the available money in cap space, and that they pubicly went after Murray....
I dont see it happening though either... most likely a draft pick will occur.
The ideal scenario would be the Cleveland Browns trading up (giving the 12th,19th, and their 2nd round pick) for Marcus Mariota, the Jags can then select a Leo at 12, either Gurley/Gordon at 19, Philip Dorsett/Tyler Lockett with one of their 2nd rounders, and maybe a guy like Paul Dawson/Eric Kendricks with the second 2nd rounder, I'd be ecstatic if Dave pulled this off.
I think the Jags should try to give the Vikes a 7th rounder and maybe $500k for Peterson.. And if it doesn't happen, hit reset and try again.
Trade? Trade what?
Picks are too valuable, as are the few trade value players we've got.
King logic: Jaguars went after Murray, therefore Jaguars desperate extremely desperate for stud HB.

This is what im thinking. Except Lockett in the second i think hes undersized..And we have good depth at wideout. Id go Safety in second.

He's undersized but has great vertical/lateral speed, short area quickness, and runs great routes, there won't be too many Nickel corners that can cover him, he also adds value in the return game. A guy I can see the Jaguars targeting early in the second is DB Byron Jones (if he's available), there's been a lot of talk of teams coveting him at FS, he's received Devin McCourty comparisons because of his smarts and elite physical traits.
Yeah, I'd be pretty upset if that happened.
This draft isn't deep I can see moving up for players or trading picks for players. Not a draft to trade back in

I disagree. This draft is pretty deep at most positions. Just not the positions of major need for the Jags.

The deepest positions in this draft are running back and receiver, two positions of need on this team.
Caldwell won't trade picks for an aging AP.
I was all on board for him early on, but after getting a chance to catch up on the football I've missed all last year, the running back class looks amazing this year.

I was referring to FS and Linebacker. This is a pretty deep RB and WR class though.
Hes crazy if he really does believe this.
