TY. I'm not a Nuke fan at all. TY can beat anyone on any play.

Pretty weak division IMO, thanks to Tennessee and no superstars

Proven best WR in the AFCS so far would be A Johnson

but he's getting up in age....

but he's had no QB...

TY Hilton is a close second.

I think by seasons end Jax will have a receiver at least in the conversation.

I agree that it is still Andre Johnson, and for the first time in his career he has an elite QB throwing to him.  He's lost the top-end speed, but the way that guy runs routes and uses his big body to block out corners I would be shocked if he doesn't pull down another 1000+ yard season for the next two years.

I think you are right about Tennessee if we are looking back, but looking forward, they are intriguing. The will have:

1. K. Wright

2. DGB

3. Harry Douglass

4. Hakeem Nicks

5. J. Hunter

6. TE- D. Walker

I think they may surprise some people this year. I still do not think they have anyone in the conversation as "best in the AFC" however, I think they will be much improved.
Here is a ranking of the receiving corps for all teams:

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/24865...pth-charts

I know that it's from Bleacher Report, (you can decide how relavent the article is. I don't like it much but nonetheless). They have ranked the Colts #4 in the league, while the other closest AFC South ranked team is at #19, I believe.

(I still stick to my guns on Moncreif and A. Robinson emerging as the frontrunners in 2015)  - but I think the Hilton love is a little over the top in this thread.  He's really good and he was the guy I had hoped the Jags would take when they took a punter in the third. Mostly because we needed a return man that could also contribute at WR.  And he was on the board.

Despite all of that - I'm not sure he's a long term superstar like many make him out to be. I respect the player - but I think Moncreif becomes "the guy" for the colts in due time.

Johnson will either have a resurgence or be the #3 by week 5, IMO.  Not sure which - but I'm skeptical.

I see Moncreif and AR15 to be very similar.  Won't break your coverage with over the top plays but consistently hurting you with sneaky athleticism.

TY Hilton can break the game wide open and ruin your game plan.   Playing with Luck definitely helps.

Those guys make my top three and I don't know the order TBH.

DeAndre Hopkins is a close 4th for me too.  He will see a lot of double coverage this year and doesn't have an above average QB to get him the ball.

DeAndre Hopkins is being way overlooked in this thread. He was Houston's best WR last year and I only expect him to improve on last year, especially now that he's moving into the #1 role.
I really feel A.Rob will be in the conversation soon, not just afcs but nfl.
Quote:I'm going to go with DeAndre Hopkins.. He was already the best WR on his team last year and now he'll get even more opportunities now that Andre is gone. He has great body control, runs great routes (learned from one of the best ever), and has meat hooks for hands..just snatches the ball out of the air.

So far thing's arent bad.. Season is still early, but so far he's the leading WR in the NFL. If he has another 100 yard game he'll break Andre's team record for most consecutive 100 yard games.

It'll be interesting to see how things shake out, just hope everyone stays healthy
I am still sticking with Allen Hurns for the long run... he tends to be on the field the most snaps than other WRs for Jaguars...

Hopefully he gets more looks by Bortles coming off of the bye...

1. Deandre Hopkins

*Large gap*

T-2. T.Y. Hilton

T-2. Allen Robinson

3. Allen Hurns

4. Andre Johnson

*Larger gap*

5. Kendall Wright?

It's Nuke Hopkins right now, and it ain't even close.

1. Hopkins HOU

2. Hilton IND

3. Robinson JAX

4. Wright TEN

5. Hurns JAX

6. Moncrief IND

7. Johnson IND

8. Shorts HOU

9. Washington HOU

10. Walters JAX

Pretty good list here I think. I think there could be an argument made for Moncrief over hurts and Washington over shorts, but the talent levels there are so close it doesn't make much difference. I agree top 4 for sure though.
Dhop

TY

Arob

Burns

Wright

Moncrief

Washington

Johnson

Walters

Shorts (what has he done to even warrant being in the conversation any more than Jaelen Strong for Houston?)

DeAndre just made Derelle Revis his [BLEEP].. and now he's about to do something Andre never accomplished.. double digit TDs.. He's the best natural catcher in the NFL.

Lol.. great talent evaluation skills.

I wish he had better top end speed, but you can't beat the size and hands over hilton.. nobody in the NFL is better high pointing the ball and coming down with contested passes.
I guessed it would be Robinson and Moncrief by season's end, but it's looking like it'll be Hopkins and Robinson. Hopkins is playing unbelievably well.

I still expect Moncrief to break out at some point in Indy. Might not be this season though.

No he isnt.

Julio Jones

Julio Jones
Well.. no he's not, but considerin coming from a divisional rival.. even if he falls a smig short of that comparison.. he still must be doing something well, so thanksSmile

And Julio hasn't come close to the one handed catches Hopkins has lol
