Quote:I'm already sad/depressed that Season 2 is ending. Anyone have any idea as to when Season 3 will begin?
I hope and assume that AMC will do a BCS marathon prior to the Season 3 premier, as I'll have forgotten what happened in Season 2 by then.
I've been watching the replaying of Breaking Bad showing on Sundance. For the first four or five weeks they showed four episodes every Wednesday. Now they are doing three shows on Wednesday. It's nice to see such a concentrated showing. On second viewing I'm catching some stuff I missed the first time.
My respect for the show just grows.
It's a little weird watching BCS and BB pretty much at the same time. I have to work at keeping some events/time frames straight. And it's very cool that they are very different with some similarities.
I am watching BB for the first time, 3 episodes a week. Man,this 5th season is really dark. Some of the humor seems to have gone out of it. It's like the writer is making everyone pay for their sins, with a lot of innocent bystanders also suffering.
It seems like we've hit this golden age of television, with several shows that are better than anything you can see in a movie theater.

It's certainly a golden age for actors. So many platforms/channels/venues to watch. I'm sure I've missed a lot of good stuff - but there are only so many hours in a day (especially once football season starts) and I can't be paying $300 a month for television/streaming, etc.
I just hope the people who brought us BB and BCS continue to produce great television for years to come.
Quote:So, do you think Kim knows Jimmy sabotaged Chuck? She gave quite a speech to the two of them, but afterwards in the car, she punched Jimmy several times in the arm as if to say she knows he did it. But I'm not sure. I'm guessing she threw her integrity out the window because she wants the business. Which sets up the big speech to Jimmy about how he caused her to lose her integrity. I can see that coming before the season ends.
Quote:Oh, she knows. That's why she dropped the obvious hint that Chuck is a formidable adversary and would find any mistakes, thus sending Jimmy out to bribe the print store attendant.
Quote:Oh, yeah, I forgot about that.
That's what I love about BCS, as well as BB. You can't miss anything, even the most innocuous scenes have meaning and relevance. I often find myself rewinding to see if I missed something.
Kim knows, and is just coming to grips with moral compromise.
Given her willingness, and then initiative, to play along with Jimmy's barroom snow jobs, I wouldn't be surprised if we're offered a glimpse into the past of Kim to reveal a little skullduggery of her own.
So uhh... thoughts on the season finale?
As someone who has never watched an episode of Breaking Bad, I love BCS. I don't know what happens to the characters in BB who are also in BCS, so it makes it even better for me.
The finale was good. I figured Chuck was up to something there, and I think next season Ernie will become a bigger character with what is about to go down between Jimmy and Chuck. Also curious to who put the note on Mike's car.

My guess is maybe Victor from Breaking Bad, or someone from Gus' world
Chuck, you dirty dog. Who knew Lenny could be so treacherous.
I loved the camera angle for the emergency room scene. That was unique.

Yeah, Victor was Gus' errand boy, so that's what we figured as well.

Squiggy would be proud. Jimmy is the silver-tongued devil, so he'll find a way to talk himself out of trouble. He left himself some wiggle room with the way he responded to Chuck.
I'm a little disappointed that a main BB star hasn't made a cameo appearance yet. Maybe Kim crossing paths with Walter White in the supermarket, or something. These guys ain't getting any younger.

I feel like we'll see Hank or Jesse before any of the other main BB stars.
Also, I don't know if any of you watched Talking Saul, but they brought up something some fans figured out.
If you take the first letter of every episode's season 2 title and arrange it a certain way, it spells out "FRING'S BACK"

Loved Giancarlo Esposito's character in Revolution. Look forward to see how he does in BCS
One thing I enjoy about the show is that the writers seem to set up scenes where the viewer thinks something is about to happen (Mike with the sniper rifle) only to have something completely different happen. There is a lot of complaining on the interwebs about how slow the show moves but I really enjoy the pace in which they are playing it out.
Trav, did you watch Breaking Bad? He was phenomenal. The perfect bad guy, but likeable in a weird way.

BB was pretty slow out of the gates too. I have faith.
