Beasley is simply the best pure pass rusher available and a perfect fit for this defense. He is the missing piece.

I really believe his stock will rise like Von miller's (who had the same size concerns) did a few years ago.

Leo Williams is less of a need and I don't find him disruptive enough, Ray, Fowler, Gregory or Dupree are just not as good as Beasley rushing the passer.

He's the guy I want if we stay at 3. But I'd be content with one of the top 2 WRs.
I think Fowler because he can be a pass rusher "Leo" or play "Otto"   He has already been dropping in coverage in college and would really help us at 2 position. Watch out for them Clemson DE. They have been a problem for some reason

2007 Gaines Adams 1st

2008 Philip Merling 2nd

2011 Da'Quan Bowers 2nd

And of course our Andre Branch 2nd

I don't care about that, different players are different players : Gaines Adams was injury prone, Bowers was big and fast but just bad and Merling never was anything special.

With that logic you wouldn't draft JJ Watt because of Matt Shaughnessy and Erasmus James.

Fowler is ten times more likely to bust than Beasley, and I don't care if he can cover or not, the Leo is more essential to the defense.
Agreed. If we take a pass rusher he's the one i want. If guys like Branch and Davis can get sacks in limited snaps here just imagine what Beasley would do.
That article reads like it was written by a High Schooler trying to pack in as many four letter words as possible into a story.

Idk why took skuta vic seems made for otto

10 times more likely to bust. Haha u use the scientific method to figure that one out?

Never hurts to have more than one. Besides, on Third Down, you might be able to get away with moving Beasley to LEO and have Skuta play OTTO.
just as long as we spend 5 picks on O-linemen we can pick whoever in the first

protect bortles above all

Please explain.

Fowler doesn't rush much from the edge for once. The sample size is really small when evaluating him. He rushes a lot as a blitzing MLB.

If I draft him as a Leo (since it's the obvious lacking position after that first week of free agency), I want to be sure the guy can pass rush from the outside. Vic Beasley showed he can do it, Fowler may be able to do it but it's still potential and his technique is stil inconsistent.
Okay just watch a lil tape on Beasley and at first glance i said this kid is explosive! Then as i watched more tape on him i notice he dont finish plays as much and have a tendency to lose his feet often. Here is a highlight vs florida state and there nfl caliber o-line tell me where is Beasley in these highlights. I like the kid but not as high as the 3rd pick. https://youtu.be/gD7r8CPqVAw
If Dave wants the best overall and highest upside player I do believe he takes Beasley too. Could be our Von Miller at OTTO.

If Dave really wants a LEO then I think Gregory will be the pick.

Fowler is solid and wouldn't be a bad pick at 3, but I just think he is 2nd best available at both OTTO and LEO.

I envision this scenario.

Beasley at 3. Perryman in the second.

Imagine a linebacking corp going forward of Beasley, Perryman, Telvin.

Why do you think Vic is more of an OTTO while Gregory is more LEO. Im sure you have explained elsewhere but I must have missed it.
What???? O_o

Beasley is a one trick pony. Fowler has 3 legit moves to rush the passer.

I'll say this, whoever they bring in, I'm confident the coaches can get the best out of them. Whether it's pass-rusher or receiver. Couldn't say that before

I like both. Fowler seems to be a pretty safe pick. Reminds me of Ryan Kerrigan.

Seemed to stand out whenever I watched Florida with not a ton around him.
I imagine Dave will go after a LB early in the draft. Outside of Telvin, Poz, and Skuta, we are pretty thin at LB. Jeremiah George flashed but outside of him there isn't much there.
