Says the guy who put the link with the title "Fowler had the same amount of sacks is Beasly and Ray their rookie years" and absolutely zero nuance...

Vino made that thread

I think linking it in support of your point would imply that you agree with it regardless.
Quote:Oh. What was the comparison?
That Donald was a special type of player that didn't fit a specific position mold but still ended up being one of the best players in the league, and I think Thomas is that same type of player. I never said they were similar as player at all, just that they both don't fit a conventional mold but still are dynamite prospects regardless.

Even if you don't look at sack numbers his season was still objectively bad. And, I didn't make that thread to say Fowler played as well as those two his rookie year, simply that on the surface they all ended up having the same production so it's too early to give up on him.

Sure he does. Donalds and undersized 3 tech. Same type of player as Geno Atkins.
Thomas is a tweener DT/DE, tons of guys with the same skillset and style have come before him.

go back and read and maybe you will understand why I linked it.
He sounds like a good replacement for Alualu, however, I feel this team needs one of those elite S prospects more.

This team needs playmakers on D and it doesn't matter what level they come from.
Re-sign Cyp and draft Allen, Thomas or Garrett is my preferred option here.
In my opinion, he's one of the top players in this draft. One of the trio of Garrett, Allen, or Thomas will more than likely be available at 4. And I'd be happy with any of them.
He's a guy you can move all over the line to be disruptive. He's literally good everywhere. That's why when he's asked what position he plays he answers "football". He's a monster everywhere.
Just watched tape against NC. Dude is impressive. No one can stop him one on one. It's gonna be fun to see who we resign and who we dont. It's basically if we cut odrick and sign cyp we will draft allen/Thomas. If we keep odrick and cut cyp we will draft adams. If we cut both, who knows

I think that's a bad way of doing business. We should draft the better player, period. My hope is that we actually resign Cyp and keep Odrick (why not?) and then just have the ability to draft whoever we want

I agree, but we all know Caldwell is a needs drafter

And I don't think there's any way we keep them both. They are both average and will be overpaid greatly

The draft is almost always a mixture of need and BAP. Not one or the other

Which is why I said depending on who we release will be who we draft as they are both very highly rated prospects. Can't read bud?

I can read vry gud. You called Caldwell a needs drafter. When in reality every GM is a mixture between needs and BAP.
