Quote:Thomas is a versatile dude. Love it.

One of my favorite things about him is that he goes hard all the time!

Like he did in the playoffs and his first two years?

I like the signing but mostly due to the lack of any TE in the draft or else where.
Love this signing. Can't wait to see who they bring in tomorrow!

We got the best TE in the AFC South

In the 2013 playoffs he caught 18 receptions for 24 targets and averaged a little over 60 yards a game. In 2014 he caught 6 for 7 targets with 60 something yards. Not bad numbers for a TE.

He's not an elite TE, but he isn't a slouch. I'm more worried about him being a Peyton Manning product.

Hear the same thing about #Jaguars in FA as I did while they searched for coaches: Things have changed. People want to go there now.

Towards the end of the season, and I'm not sure why, the Broncos went into this heavy running attack offense, which clearly didn't work only scoring 13 points against the Colts in the playoffs. All the receivers and TE's stats went down when they changed their offense around.

He goes hard. Love watching him play. I felt like he was always going to get a catch whenever the Broncos had the ball.

Not really surprising, the jags aren't afraid to spend money anymore.

double
He will bring the pork, better 'belee dat'

Yessss! I heard it's a five year deal for 45 million. So that's three reported agreements with players (good ones, too!)

Things are looking up we have needed a real TE for so long. Who was the last good one we had? I forget his name.. yeah Brady, almost forgot the guy's name. That seems so long ago.

Brady wasn't good. He was same guy as Lewis. We've never had a good tight end.

Manning tore his quad and couldn't throw the ball 10 feet.

Fair enough $. Over paid but we have a red zone threat And one more pick to draft a long term starter else where.

If he pans out like we all think he will, would anyone still be complaining if the Jags overpaid? Nope..

Pay da man!!

Kyle Brady. Those were the days...
They got us on the front page of ESPN ya'll for the Julius Thomas signing so i guess we're big time now.

I thought George Wrighster was gonna be that guy for a hot minute. He flashed a couple times and then str8 fizzled.

Got hurt too much. I remember he used to jump over people atleast once a game.
Quote:Where does everyone stand on Lewis now that we got Thomas? I am of the mind that we will be going defense heavy in the draft. And with not much else on the roster I see us hanging on to Lewis one more year.
I'll give the man one last shot. I don't like his production with his pay but, with another proven TE on the roster, I expect to see a lot of 2 TE sets going on which can create a huge mismatch with Lee, Robinson, and Hurns out there.
