I heard him on a local sports talk show here in Portland a few weeks back and just talked so much S about the Jags. Was dumb.

ORANGE JULIUS.

Pete Mitchell was the last good receiving TE we had.

yeah I agree. He was best receiving Te in franchise history but I bel that will now me Julius. I can't wait to here. Bortles with pass completion to Julius Thomas for a Jaguars 1st down. moodachay moodachay lol

Pretty amazing how little we've had at TE over the years.

Best receiving seasons for Jags TEs:

1996 - Pete Mitchell - 52/575 - 1td

2000 - Kyle Brady - 64/729 - 3 tds

2010 - Marcedes Lewis - 58/700 - 10 tds

2013 - Julius Thomas - 65/788 - 12 tds

2014 - Julius Thomas - 43/489 - 12 tds (13 games played)

I don't expect Thomas to keep up this pace but there is no doubt he is a major upgrade.
This would be a great pick up for the Jags! Lewis & Thomas could be two killer weapons for Blake.

I could see Thomas having a similar number of receptions, but the TDs could be expected to dip.

But I think his presence opens things up outside for the receivers.
He played great the last two years in Denver but then again they also had Peyton Manning and a lot of receiving threats to cover for defenses hopefully he'll continue to play great here in Jacksonville.

DL(DT) Jared Odrick (Miami) to fill in while Marks recovers? Makes me think that DT Leo Williams will not be drafted by the Jaguars with this move (and the Roy Miller signing).

OLB Dan Skuta (49ers) this one Im not sure about a special teamer whom played well last season at OLB but was injured in Nov... i guess for depth?

Big news.

I didn't know much about him but he had 5 sacks in the last 10 games last season, talking to some 49ers fans they had good things to say about him. Could be an OTTO?
Welcome JT!!! Now we have a tight end that catches!

USA Today had Thomas as one of the ideal Free Agency pickups for the team.

It's almost hard to believe that we had Jimmy Smith, Keenan, and Freddie T that year. Seems like a lifetime ago !!!

As a kid, I remember hounding my grandmother to get me one whenever we went to the mall. Found a Dairy Queen in Orlando that sold them last year and yeah, it is pretty much just frozen orange juice.
so why doesn't this guy block?

Quote:so why doesn't this guy block?

he does, just not well... which doesn't matter imo. blocking is for lineman. if you have a tight end that is a 'blocker' that just means he sucks
