Not sure why, but this made me laugh.  [BAD WORD REMOVED]!
The beginning of the week is going to be a fun and exciting time.

Let's just hope that it's still exciting at the end of the week as well.

Quote:I think keeping an eye on the tweets of Schefter, LaCanfora, O'Halloran and the like would be wise on Saturday if you wanna find out who the Jags are talking to.  Could get interesting.

Restart the twitter thread!
Quote:Boy is this fan base going to be disappointed if this is just another typical Jags Free Agency. I don't think it will be but the hype around this Free Agency is out of this world right now.

I tend to agree and applaud your honesty, albeit brutal.
McCourtry & RT Parnell would be excellent signings.  TE Thomas is a potential bust - let another team take the chance.  Not sure about Cobb - there are a lot of WRs available all of a sudden.

I think that some/most people are going to be disappointed...While I do believe Caldwell will try and sign some high profile players, I don't think he will be reckless and grossly overspend...I'm certain he will sign some players, but I doubt they will be the ones everyone is wishing for....I think other teams will outbid (so to speak) what the Jags are willing to pay for elite players...But only because other teams will be reckless and grossly overpay

Anybody who thinks we will be able to sign a big name, impact player in free agency will be disappointed. We will sign a mediocre player or two for a boatload of money and then go dumpster diving for the rest. It's the Jags way...

Sadly, this is what I'm thinking too.. It's not being negative, it's just the norm for this organization and what we're used to seeing. This franchise needs a serious culture change, during the seasons AND the off season..
I think McCourty and Bulaga and Thomas should be priorities.

We should court, but not go all-in, with Suh, Murray, and Cobb.

Supplement/consolation prizes: Maclin, Orakpo, Cameron.

I think we will get Cobb for sure. I hope we get McCourty and one of the available RT's. I do not think they will go hard for Suh. They know they need some playmakers on offense so it feels right for them to make Cobb and maybe Thomas a priority. McCourty may or may not happen, would be a great bonus!

We'll all know soon enough!

Don't care about signing a FA running back. I actually hope they don't.

My guess is they sign either Cobb or Julius Thomas. Which ever they do not get they will sign a receiver or tight end of the second tier. They will sign a "next tier" right tackle like Barksdale or Parnell. A guy that can start over Pasztor but not be so entrenched that the team does not draft a right tackle to eventually take over. Also a veteran free safety. McCourty or Rahim Moore. They will pursue McCourty but may never have a shot at him depending on who else wants him;

Please...not Suh. I honestly doubt he would even be considered with his history and reputation. He's a bad fit for the best aspect of the rebuild - higher quality character of roster as a whole.

You are literally just being negative.

Oh Lord, please can we stop with this crap,, so he has a nasty streak in games....

What do you want him to do shake hands with his opponents after every sack!

I'm sure we have people on this roster with more "character issues" than Suh...

He has never once had off the field issues or caused problems in the locker room for goodness sake!

Fact of the matter is there is no reason we should not make a serious run at Suh

Zero reason!!!

Marks and Miller come nowhere close to Suh even when 100 percent healthy,, which we do jot know thy will be.

We have ZERO game changers on the roster.. ZERO!

And

He is a once in a blue moon type of defensive player that Changes every game he plays in, and he plays in just about every game, 80% of the snaps.

We are a four man front at base on d, a perfect scheme fit, with a defensive players coach who supposedly can seek players on his vision.

We have all the cap room needed, and we have an ideal location for the business minded man with Florida's state taxes...

If we do not make a serious run at Suh, like we did with Mack last year, it will be a massive opportunity lost. Period.

I think this is precisely the week that all changes.

Only going on what the organisation has given us the last handful of years.. Lets hope it changes..

I think you are confusing this era with the Gene Smith era where the rebuild plan was to find high character players that lacked talent.

The best aspect of the Caldwell rebuild era is Speed, Intensity, and Swagger.

The last two offseasons were pretty much what the organization promised.

This offseason they are expected to be aggressive and spend alot. I would expect that.
Just ready for this organization to start showing some teeth instead of rolling over and playing dead..
