Should the Jaguars make a run for A.Peterson if becomes available?!
AP wants to go to a contender. He wouldn't come here unless we so overpaid he couldn't turn it down which would be stupid. We have to many other needs to be going after a runningback.

Its very intriguing but he turns 30 in march. I think we go through the draft and continue to build a young promising offense to go with Brotles and our young WRs. If we were to pick a RB from free agency id rather go with a younger guy like Mark ingram or demarco murry, who also wont cost as much.... Besides all that im sure at his age hes gonna join a superbowl contender like dallas or denver (some teams ive heard insiders talk about). Again i still believe hes the best rb right now but turning 30 soon.
Wait until his name is cleared of all guilt before you start dreaming. He is back on the commissioner's exempt list following an indefinite suspension and waiting for an appeal to proceed on his child abuse charges.

If Adrian Peterson is not proven innocent beyond all doubt, he is guilty and does not belong in Jacksonville.

You, uh, do realize that what you've stated is pretty much the exact opposite of how we do things in this country, yes? You are never proven innocent, you are always presumed innocent.
keep that child beater off the team please and thank you

Right. So I am saying we should have no interest in Adrian Peterson whatsoever.

I know for me groing up in South Florida , I had to pick plenty switches for my own butt wooping. I didn't see the pictures, but heard of the bruses, so idk how severe it is.. And I don't woop my kids, but I mean, we live in a world where a man can commit much worse of an offense

I.e.Ray Rice (feel like Jamie Dukes using that i.e. mess)

Keep the jags from ever being good please
I was wondering when we'd get this thread.
Great feedback , thanks . It was a dream thought , an intriguing one of a kind talent . The man did wrong and paid for it, his family knows it . There are a lot worse in this game. I do remember now tho that the jags are trying to stray way from any off field drama distractions to the organization.

I don't think the problem was the corporal discipline. He hit the kid's genitals. Judging by the other clearly visible injuries, doing anything (intentional or otherwise) to his genitals is entirely too much for any kid.

Having said that, I think AP has proven that he's a hard-worker, and I think he'd come back strong from the suspension. I wouldn't trade for him, but if a mediator or someone voids his contract, then I'd certainly take a run at him.
Oh! Yeah, no. That's no tolerable if it was intentional. An adult doing anything to a child's private region is wayyyy uncalled for. More than i think can be described. I would hope it was accidentally hit. To be honest, i got so sick of all the idiotic stuff with guys in the NFL, i stopped reading into the incidents. I didn't know the details. My ignorance

I believe in spankings but what Peterson did wasn't a spanking it was straight up abuse, 7 day old pictures show deep cuts on the child.

I want nothing to do with Peterson
No to AP

Adrian Peterson did not pay for it. He is still in court trying to get his name cleared.

The Jaguars very rarely ignore red flags and have cut players for NFL policy and law violations. That is one of the main reasons I love the team.

I talked to the condo remodeler about this. He told me Peterson was just punishing his kid the only way he knew how because his grandma did the same things to him. I don't know the details and have to take his word for it, but think it is still child abuse anyway.

I think you missed what he said.
I'd rather see the Jags give a big time contract to a FA DE than an RB.. And that's what AP is gonna want, big money..
With how deep the the RB draft class is, I'd rather see the FA money spent on other positions so that we are positioned to take one of these better RBs. It is generally proven that RBs fall way off after a certain amount of carries and most experts think A.P. only has 2 good years left in him. I'd rather draft a top RB and get 5+ years out of him than 2 years of A.P, and that is just purely from a football standpoint not even getting into the off field stuff.
