Gus handled Babin, who was supposedly a locker room cancel in Philly very well.

Perhaps getting traded twice and then cut does something to Percy and he eats some humble pie.

If they went after him, I'd support it.
The problem with harvin is the big contract he got that teams have inherited ever since. If he gets cut, no more contract
If it's a one year "prove it" deal without much guaranteed money, sure, try him out. He's probably going to sign with a higher-profile team in a bigger market, though.

Quote:This team steered clear of the locker room cancers with huge doo-doo results. Time to take a walk on the wild side..

I think at this point, our locker room is strong enough to withstand whatever negativity Percy Harvin brings.   Gus will pump him full of positivity.

We have so much cap room, I'd offer him a big deal but with a minimum of guaranteed money.
No. He is a turd who has worn out his welcome every place he has gone.

If Gus and Dave feel that Percy can be signed to a reasonable contract while not becoming a distraction, then I am sure the Jags will sign him. Still, I think that Percy will want to go to a glamour team and get paid in the process. Percy may need to be humbled a bit before he signs with a team. Who knows, he may end up as a Patriot.

^^^^^^

This.

The guy could have had a free ride to the Super Bowl in Seattle and couldn't keep his yap shut. The classic me-me-me player.

More than one analyst said the turning point in Seattle's season was when they GOT RID OF Harvin. It speaks volumes when they go with a bunch of nobodies at WR rather than holding onto this clown.

And now the Jets don't even want him?

C'mon people. Why all the Percy Harvin hate? Really?
Percy is lethal weapon for any QB. IF he is healthy and Gus is willing to take on a challenge of keeping Percy pumped and happy Im all in for it. We need 1 WR veteran and why not give this guy a 1 or 2 year deal? Im so afraid of Sophomore slump that we need a veteran for Blake to throw to and I doubt we get Dez, Demariyus, or Cobb.

I'd rather have a Persy Harvey with a bad attitude than an Ace Sanders with a good attitude.
I don't think the on-field production will be worth the off-field distraction and destruction.

On field production? What's that?

Because those are the only two options.

Think "Jet Sweep".

Also, "Completed Pass" is an option.
People, you really need to stop getting your panties in a twist.. It's just a player. It's not Godzilla who's trampling and destroying team after team by plowing through em all with Godzilla feet..

My god, after all the chiorboy turds you've seen this team cling on to, you'd figure you'd be ok with the non chiorboy type for once.

Minnisota: Destroyed

Seattle: Destroyed

Jets: Destroyed..

Right?

Right?

Soooo....

You're saying that he is a problem or that he isn't?

My point is this: I really can't wrap my head around the Bradwell braintrust bringing this guy in here, especially after Pete Carroll stated that he just couldn't make the Harvin-Seattle situation work.

Right?

3 teams have given up on him in six years.

What I'm saying is, I'm willing to take the risk because what this team has had on offense just isn't working. Whether or not this team buys into Harvin is another story. But where this offense is now and where it has been, its worth the risk.

I understand your stance, I really do. But for me, the last thing that I want my young Quarterback to have to deal with is a player who comes with the kind of baggage that Harvin does.

I can definitely see and understand that.. That's why I call it a risk.

This offense needs something though. Too many years have gone by with being an anemic offense.. It's time to take the training wheels off again and take the next step. I'd be willing to sacrifice attitude for a chance at some TD's, and it never should have gotten to that point.

Easy to say when you are not the one that has to deal with it
