It's funny because all these people so against looking at Harvin would immediately change their tune if Dave signed him.
Well, I can't speak for everyone else but I certainly wouldn't. Would I cheer for him if he was on the team? It's my team. Would I question Caldwell? Absolutely. And I'd just be waiting for the first signs of trouble to occur.

But we won't have to worry about that.
Caldwell knows better than to sign Gaters from the Meyer era.

^^This and then some
Quote:Starting to really wonder if this is the Jags board or masochist anonymous.

Wait. Are the masochists the guys that want to sign the oft-injured knucklehead terrible teammate about to be on his fourth franchise in four years or the ones that don't?
Quote:Percy is lethal weapon for any QB. IF he is healthy and Gus is willing to take on a challenge of keeping Percy pumped and happy Im all in for it. We need 1 WR veteran and why not give this guy a 1 or 2 year deal? Im so afraid of Sophomore slump that we need a veteran for Blake to throw to and I doubt we get Dez, Demariyus, or Cobb.
He's not a number one receiver though.  He will not make that amazing catch when you need it.  He's a gimmicky player who is quick.  I think they used him more in the backfield running than running routes on the outside.

Judging by the past handful of seasons, you tell me.. If people including myself, are willing to sacrifice the chiorboy mentality and image of this team just for a shot at more than 3-4 wins a season, that should tell ya something.

You are not sacrificing anything
Everyone who buys tickets are sacrificing.

You want to make it about 'the fanbase" or the 'choirboy image' or 'being scared'. You're the only one making it out to be any more than not wanting this ONE player. Everyone else is talking about HARVIN. You're trying to make it some all-encompassing issue.

Queue up the old jokes or regurgitate the same statements. It seems to be all you're capable of.

Eventually you may make sense but I doubt it

Hahaha you're out there.

Harvin is not the worth the money or the headache. There's a reason teams keep giving him away. If he was so good (as you claim) why do teams keep trading him?

He's an injury prone, entitled and me first WR. Could he (talent wise) be an upgrade? Sure.... But so can other players. Give me Maclin, Torrey, Crabtree, or Cobb over him any day of the week. Enough with the Harvin stuff. He's not worth it.

Enough? Dude if you don't talkin about Harvin, stay the hell outta "The Harvin" thread.. Or is that too difficult? It's an opinion. Just like your opinions on Maclin, Torrey ect..

Right on queue.

You're either a moron or a troll. I know which way I'm leaning. What a loser.

I aim to please..
Quote:You build an offense with pieces.. Trust me, this offense is a big piece right now too..

Ah, so no answer for that one. That's what I figured.
Harvin (if healthy and used correctly; I don't think Darrelll Bevell finds the right way to utilise him last season) can improve almost every offense, but he's just not worth the risk for most of the teams. I'm 100% we wouldn't be in Super Bowl (I doubt we even make it into playoffs) if we didn't trade him away. He was that big of a distraction in the locker room.

Brady, Brees, Manning can handle Harvin right now. Wilson couldn't and I don't think Bortles can either. At least I wouldn't want to mess up with Bortles head and your young team chemistry at this point. If Gus is unsure about this, he should ask Pete Carroll, but I don't think he'll need his advice.

I think Harvin will probably sign with New England and look great for 4 or 5 games until he gets hurt again.
With the marshall trade to the jets, reports indicate that percy will be traded or most likely released.

He is still explosive and could fill the return role and 4th or 5th receiver. Gus had first hand experience with him in Seattle.

Obviously he has his issues, but will he have learned anything from his experiences the past few years. Interested to hear your thoughts.

No wonder our team has struggled. Our HC was apparently working with the Seahawks while coaching our team.
