Quote:Yes it is getting some unfair attention because of the lack of understanding and vagueness, but you have to admit that there was some unanticipated confusion with green card holder and those that hold specific, already approved visas that could have been avoided.

All part of extreme vetting as far as I am concerned. Were they returning from the nations listed in the temp. ban? If so, this falls under the assumption I had regarding his campaign promises.

In the end, it was only 109 detained of some 300k. 109. Are we really freaking out over 109? What happened to those 109? They were all released shortly thereafter.

I am not going to pretend I am surprised that the EO actually worked as intended, nor am I going to shed tears like some grown men.

Whatever they need to stay in hysterics will be enough to freak out over.

We're talking about government bureaucrats here. Screw-ups should have been anticipated.

109 out of 300k is far below the mean for government ineffectiveness. If this were Oblahblah the press would be touting its success ad nauseum.

The uneducated clowns crying about it can't even express this number.

I thought all that was changed when the Orange Emperor assumed his throne.

He rushed to fulfill his campaign promise without giving government agencies time and advance notice to develop procedures. It was another of his typical attention grabbing stunts like those that got him elected. You folks are such suckers for the showman.

So Trump shoulda gotten in at least 16 rounds of golf before doing anything at all.. Like your now irrelevant messiah did 8 years ago.. Woohooo another Obama vacation..
As I suspected, the ban is actually a test on how far Donald can exert his power and have government officials follow his orders:

Trump administration headfake

Y'all, this isn't normal.  I've had some disagreements with every president since Carter, but I never actually thought any of them were attempting to set up an authoritarian regime in the US.  Donald is pushing the rules to see how far we'll let him go, taking notes, seeing who will play along, and setting up for his next power grab.  And this is week one.

By 2018 he'll be president for life, and JW and StroudCrowd will still be defending him.

It's an opinion piece. I can get the same garbage on this board. Admittedly, this section of the board would be pretty boring without the typical flinging at the wall to see what sticks.

Fake news.  Especially when the blogger says "Let's Pretend" to state his case.
I remember back in the 80's when several of my hospital coworkers became "Persians" all of a sudden.  Nobody was fooled.

Bry gets the gold star.  It's an opinion piece, not "news", fake or otherwise.

Getting hard to tell the difference, huh?

Well, I guess you got the pretending part down. Couple more steps to go and you too can be a full-fledged mouth-piece. By the way, did you donate like he asked?

Not really, and I'm not against blogs and don't discount the information that some of them put out.  However, when it comes to something like this it's all a hypothetical and doesn't really have much credibility when he starts out with "let's pretend".

I kind of got hammered in an earlier thread for posting a link to blog which I identified as such.  The difference is the blog that I linked to was written by a cyber security specialist and the head of a respected company.  What he stated was based on actual FACT not OPINION.  That's the difference.

The blog you linked to is to back up your "conspiracy theory" regarding the Trump administration based on "theory" and "let's pretend".

If you start kissing up right now, maybe you can join his republican guard.

You can waterboard me for thoughtcrime next year

LOL. So your fake news story and conspiracy is pretty much false then right?

Fear coupled with ignorance is a very dangerous thing for the mind.

Seriously, seek help before you detach completely from reality.

Bureaucrats never change, and their incompetence never decreases. Short of shutting down an entire department they are hired for life, like a horde of petty dictators.
