Quote:Not making an excuse, but a not blocked FG here or a not dropped pass there, and we win 6 games this past season. With the second worst ranked offense in the league we were in every game to the end of the 4th besides like 3 or 4. Should have beat the Tacks, Tinhorns 2nd game, Bengals, hell even the second Indy game we were in it till late. The record is what it is, and that 3 games, but a slightly more competent offense and we would have won 6-7 pretty easily.

So frustrated with Cecil Shorts last game against the Texans. Bortles led a great drive and he dropped the game winning TD.. Would have ended the season on a GREAT note.

Bingo.... That drop is probably the main reason why he won't be back.

The Jags were really counting on him to be the veteran leader this young WR core needed. He was arguably our 4th best WR by the time the season ended.
Quote:Gronk says high. May not be a WR but he is a true #1 option just like Graham in New Orleans. I agree you don't need a typical "#1" WR but you do need a true go to guy.

Robinson was our go to guy last season before he got hurt.  Hopefully he can stay healthy for a whole year to continue that trend.  I don't care who the go to guy is.  As long as one emerges is all I care about.  The fact that we're arguing about which promising guy we have is going to be that guy is a good sign in that regard.

My point is everybody saying we need a #1 WR is just stupid.  Your point about what Graham was and what Gronk is proves my point further.  Although I would think Edelmen would have something to say about being the go to guy in the SB.
