Leftwich: "Hey Carson, long time no see! I'm your new QB coach!"

Palmer: "Wow, really man? That's awesome! How've you been? I haven't seen you since the 2003 draft. You know, when I went first and you went seventh...why are you coaching me again?"

Thats cool good for him.
"Let me show ya how to windmill"
Should be interesting...he never seemed like the sharpest tool in the shed.
I heard during a Jaguars game Byron Leftwich wants to be a sports broadcaster when he is done playing. Did he change his mind about that?

Can't be too often that the QB coach is younger than the starting QB.

They were drafted together. It is not like the new Rams HC being younger than some of his players.

According to NFL.com Byron Leftwich was already linked to Bruce Arians from their days in Pittsburgh. That probably had a lot to do with it.

He was such a cerebral quarterback and student of the game....

He wore a backwards hat though.
Hi, Jaguars fans! Smile  Byron Antron Leftwich is younger than Carson Hilton Palmer by 18 days.  CP was born on December 27, 1979, while Leftwich was born later on January 14, 1980.  Thus and hence, both Leftwich and Palmer are indeed 37 years old.

Fun Fact:   Leftwich earned a Super Bowl ring, as the backup QB to Ben Roethlesberger, in Super Bowl XLIII, when the Pittsburgh Steelers (ironically, in Leftwich's position and case) defeated the Arizona Cardinals 27-23 in Tampa, Florida, back on 2/1/2009.  Palmer was still with the Bengals at that time.    Wink

They have weird middle names.

So Leftiwich's birthday is 13 days before mine.

Probably moreso than any QB we've ever had here.
Leftwich was smarter than Garrard.

If they could have fused them together, it would have made for a great qb.
Leftwich...lol

Opposite of Jimmy John's.  A fat sandwich that's always delivered late.

There's a report circulating now that Palmer has pulled his kids out of school and is moving already out of Arizona. He may be retiring. I really, REALLY hope this opens up a potential trade with Arizona. I'd be cool with a 1st RD swap and a 2nd RD pick-up and a pick in next year's draft so they can come up and overdraft DeShaun Watson at No. 4.

There is no reason not to start a different thread for a totally different topic that belongs in a different section. That post has nothing to do with Leftwich.

And for the record, Palmer has not made a retirement decision yet. So he can't possibly already be pulling his kids out of school.
