Democrats from other states would never allow this to happen...because they would never be able to elect another democratic President without California in the mix.
Once the wall on the Mexican boarder is complete...I guess they need to head North with it.
It's all rainbows and sherbert until the fault starts moving and federal assistance is needed.
Texas was all hot and bothered talking about leaving the union too.. then they had flooding and called for the president to declare a national emergency to fund assistance. With California fires getting out of control yearly and the imminent "big one" earthquake, it would be foolish to try to leave the union.
However.. I'm sure plenty of members of both sides of the aisle would be happy to never see Nancy Pelosi or Darrell Issa again.

Did you know the last time the Mexican military came across the border was 2005 to assist with humanitarian work in the wake of Katrina. Not sure of they were the murderer and rapist division, but the Americans on the border that day sure appreciated their help.
A. They couldn't do it without the approval of a majority of other states.
B. They are bankrupt. They couldn't make it on their own.
Any state grumbling about leaving is just full of hot air. Like Kotite said, they talk big until they need federal aid.
