She typically leaves at the end of the NFL season and doesn't reappear until around when preseason starts.  She told me in a recent message something to the affect about her "annual hiatus".  She won't deviate from it.

 

You have to remember that somebody like her thinks purely in "logical terms".  Her "logic" tells her that after the Super Bowl there is no reason to post here.

 

Regarding JDub, most people don't seem to understand that she is mentally handicapped and don't understand her affliction.  They accept and tolerate posts by another member of the board who is mentally handicapped with no problem because with him it's kind of obvious.

 

With her, she has an affliction that kind of "conceals" itself on a message board since we are all just reading words rather than interacting socially in person.

 

Take a look at my avatar.  It's Spock from the Star Trek series.  Typically in the series Spock didn't understand emotion, everything was logical.  Dr. McCoy in the series never understood it and was always annoyed and frustrated with Spock.

 

It's the same with her.  She only understands logic and doesn't "get" sarcasm or "jokes" the way that most people do.  The analogy is that she is "Spock" and other people are basically "Dr. McCoy".  Imagine living that way in today's world and society.

 

Many people don't like her because they don't understand how she thinks.  Interaction in "normal" society is awkward for her because she doesn't really understand simple "jokes" or "innuendos".  Everything to her and her mind is either "true or false".

 

When she says that she "gets mad" it's really her frustration because she doesn't understand something.

 

Here's the kicker and something that will blow people's minds away.  Her knowledge of football and the NFL is probably greater than anyone else on this board.  Part of her "mental illness" is the ability to remember things and if it involves numbers or statistics it's even easier for her to remember.  I would bet that she could tell you statistics about something without using a search engine (google) right off the top of her head.

 

While JDub might frustrate many people, I personally consider her a friend and look forward to the day when I can actually meet her in person.

I'm more than aware of the issues that she has. I have no doubt about them.. I just wondered why the Avatar would be a trigger as she knows she doesn't own it. With a lot of users on this Message Board, and new members joining frequently, it's not completely out of the realms of possibility for someone to use that same logo.

Regarding your last sentence, I'd love to (one day) meet a lot of people on this board. I've had a great time getting to 'know' people here.

Of course not. That is a reminder of how bad we are, not how good we will become. I have always believed the only direction we can go is up since Dave Caldwell was hired. Coaching staff changes reinforced my opinion. When I get back from my annual hiatus (JIB said it right), everybody will be posting about how easy our 2017 schedule is with the NFC Worst, AFC North, and Jets.
