Super Bowl 49 is what most people thought it would be: #1 in the NFC (Seattle Seahawks) vs. #1 in the AFC (New England Patriots). Now it is finally time to predict the winner, pick a team to root for, and wait for it.

I will root against the Patriots because I hate Bill Belihick and Tom Brady. After seeing how the Seahawks should have lost to the Packers, I think the Patriots will win.

It did not take long for NFL.com to post a few Super Bowl preview links and the "who will win" poll on its homepage.

Countdown to kickoff, mind-blowing stats, team leaders, and how the teams got there: http://www.nfl.com/superbowl/49/super-bowl-matchup

Seven things to watch for in the game: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000...-bowl-xlix

Notable injuries: Safety Earl Thomas and cornerback Richard Sherman must like having a bye week now. Thomas dislocated his shoulder and Sherman pretended his left arm was in a sling.

Stay tuned for more information about the game as it comes and feel free to post your own links. For now, all I can say is GO SEAHAWKS!

New England will win, and I'm rooting for them.

Go Hawks!

Packers, broncos, jaguars, colts, seahawks.
Please no win for the Patriots.(cheatorits) if anything another beat down like last year will do.
The good news is that one of the teams, and its fan base has to lose.

What a game on paper though.

Bandwagon Bowl?

Go Seahawks!

Do to Brady what you did to Manning, and it'll all be fine.

Considering Brady has more post season wins then multiple NFL Franchises, I'm down for another lose in the big one.  Been awhile since we have had a back to back team.

Besides it is bad juju to have a politician in the owners box.  Retribution must be made in the Superbowl.

I think the Seahawks will most likely win, as long as their defense shows up tough just like yesterday's championship game.

Almost every time in the big game,, the team with the Super-strong defense (particularly pass rush) trumps the team with the Superstar QB. We've seen it over and over.
Everyone thought the Broncos would have their way with Seattle last year.

All the Seahawks have to do is put a couple of hard hits on Brady early in the game, get in his head, and play their style of offense.

I think the Packers are better than the Pats.  Seattle takes it IMO.

Seattle all the way

You might want to do some research on Super Bowl history. Most teams win that game with great quarterbacks. Seattle was an exception, not the rule.

-Seahawks beat down Manning

-Seahawks limited Rodgers to 6 points in 2nd half yesterday (allowing the Seahawks offense to have a miracle chance)

- Giants pass rush stifled Brady in the Pats "perfect" season

- Giants defense stifled Brady in their second SB matchup

- Patriots defense stifled the "Greatest Show on Turf" Rams offense with Warner

- BUCS defense shut down a very powerful Raiders offense (albeit they knew what was coming, I'll give you that)

- OHIO STATE defense stifled Mariota and his very explosive offense
Pats Win, And Im taking bets as I type. Im already over a hun

History will be made. Does Brady retite if he wins?

Some of the quarterbacks who won at least one Super Bowl are: Bart Starr, Joe Namath, Bob Griese, Doug Williams, Ken Stabler, Roger Staubach, Terry Bradshaw, Jim McMahon, Phil Simms, Joe Montana, Steve Young, Troy Aikman, Brett Favre, John Elway, Kurt Warner, Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, and Joe Flacco. I probably missed a couple names of elite, Super Bowl winning quarterbacks. So winning the Super Bowl is more likely if a team has a great quarterback than just a game manager even if the defense is elite. I just named over half of the Super Bowl winning quarterbacks.

Definitely not. Tom Brady said he will play until he sucks. And he certainly does not suck.

Probably not.

Chances are Tom Brady will play at least one more season,  with the goal of being the first starting QB to win 5 Super Bowls.
