I can't really blame him for feeling passionate about Bush when he was at the height of his prime coming out of USC. If we had gotten Reggie Bush instead of MJD, that truly would have been a two headed beast with him and Taylor splitting carries. With the line we had back then, he and Taylor could have easily had 1000+ yards rushing apiece.

Being that DM13 was from the Los Angeles area, he was very familiar with both Reggie Bush and MJD. At the time, I respected that he was a fan of Bush but disagreed with him about Bush as an NFL player from the standpoint of Bush being a top of the draft caliber player.
While Bush had the more accomplished college career and was drafted much higher than MJD, I thought MJD was the better RB for most of their NFL careers. MJD was one of the most complete RB's of his time. Bush didn't have the durability to be a bell cow RB. The only question I had with MJD entering the NFL was whether he would be effective enough in picking up blitzes. As it turned out, MJD did a very good job in that role.
One of the things that Reggie Bush talked about during his time with the Lions the last couple of seasons is that he wasn't a patient enough runner earlier in his career. Bush improved in that respect in recent seasons but much like his days with the Saints, injuries have plagued him far too often. With Bush turning 30 this year, it wouldn't surprise me if he's a salary cap casualty and that his career will end in the next year or two.

Bjorn was definitly a fun guy to go back and forth with. Never really malicious and always funny...and smart and had a quick wit.
I miss Sammy too...he comes by to say hi, but isn't here as much as he used to. The "Survivor" threads were always fun for me.

I can't decide on a user name so I'll ask the board. Then I'll decide and change my mind. Then I'll ask again and think about it. Then I'll decide and change it. Then I'll change it back. No, I won't I'll ask the members to select one for me. Then I'll change it again. Wait until I move then I will think of another. Then change. Or wait until after the new year then change after the Super Bowl.
