Yeah Ramsey was pretty adamant about there being a complete change in staff.

Well, then I am left to wonder just how bad the scheme or players could be if at least four players were inexperienced and none of the players were being properly utilized and it still finished 6th.

Something is not adding up.

Ugh... same problem, only now we don't have a spot for Telvin. Can we trade Telvin for a 1st round pick?

Trade our best defender to run a three four? No I will pass.

Yeah, me too... although it might work for a down or two as a Jack Del RIo kind of switch-up.

As for the player arguments, there certainly is a theme that they don't feel like they're being placed in their best possible roles. It's become rather clear that the "Seattle" scheme they run has very specific roles, and players assigned to those roles are to do those specific tasks regardless of their actual skill set. Even when Prince was asked if he thought he performed well, he remarked, to paraphrase, "I felt like I did a great job for what I was asked to do." The sense you get is that he could have done even more but his skill-set wasn't maximized.

Ultimately this is where I start to question Wash. Now Wash gets results and is a great teacher and coach, and I'm sure of that. That said, I don't know that he's skilled enough as a defensive coordinator to truly create a defense around the existing talent. He knows the scheme and how to make it work, but how is this team going to be its best if the players aren't truly pushed to their limits?

I think we saw a glimpse of where our defense could be.

Just was not enough time to put it all together.

I don't blame Walsh. He was not even sure If he would have his job after season ended.

You forgot to fix "Walsh," add the apostrophe to don't, and remove the period after "sure."

If you're gonna' doctor up a TTR post, you best pack a lunch, Skeeter.

You're absolutely right. I just get riled up when "seen" is used in that manner.

I personally prefer the full bastardization of the word:

Seen't

extreme past participle of see

Often used along with multiple redundancies.

"Darrell put on a netflix movie that I had already done seen't."

I saw a coach blow it and lose it for his team.
I just hope I don't have to hear Lotto, Leo, Otto, Froto or any other stupid non-football terms ever again.

Teams across the league use terms for their personnell lol

That doesn't mean the fans have to.

We used to be able to talk about Henderson and Stroud without parroting the talking heads who started talking about "tech" this and "tech" that recently.

We can do without all the fake coachspeak coming from fans, IMO.

Look here Mike, Sam, and Will don't know Jack. Smile

In my opinion, the whole scheme thing is pretty overrated. The nickel/dime defense is used just over half the time. Most teams use a variety of base packages depending on the defensive gameplan and situational down and distance. Watch the Patriots and try to figure out what their base defense is, as they will rush between 3-5 on the DL what seems to be at random. I think any team that uses one single base package is asking to be abused by the other teams offense.

To this day Big Hen is the only player I've ever seen "3 gap". That is, he'd take on his gap and both adjacent gaps successfully.
