Quote:It's not odd at all. Trestman isn't good. Too many fans overrate him. How long has Trestman stayed anywhere? Ever wonder if he was so good why doesn't he stay in one spot? Why did he go to the CFL?

Besides that, the Bears are garbage. If it wasn't for them having two of the best WRs in the league, their offense would be nothing.

Quote:I said I didn't think they would fire Fisch because I felt there were plenty of reasons the offense struggled, him being a part of that.  Should I apologize for being wrong about them dumping the OC and recognizing that there were a lot of issues on that side of the ball that were beyond his control?

No you should apologize for being a lemming by constantly toting the company line as if it's not apparent. It really gets tiring after a while.

Hahaha

And if Trestman were up for the Jags head coaching job, this would be a good argument against him.

Ian Rapoport just reported that Trestman and Rex Ryan want to pair up. Wherever Rex ends up, Trestman will follow.

Dennison keeps making more sense.

Well then offer Rex the DC job!  LOL

No but seriously, if we don't get Trestman, I'll be bummed out.  Even though I don't know much about him....

I'm sure there are some other coaches out there that we can pick up that will take our offense into the 21st century...   I just hope we find a good OC.  If it's Trestman, great.  If it's not, whoever it is, I hope is top notch and not just a guy that is unproven but we hope will be good.

Company line? As if you or any of us are part of the team. Dude sticks up or stands by his favorite team. We are fans nothing more nothing less

The company line?  That's got to be one of the dumbest things you've ever posted here.  Seriously.  Overwhelming ignorance gets tiring after a while, so walking around like that must be quite exhausting for you.
I wonder if Gus has his eye on someone from Seattle's staff.

I'm guessing they want someone from either green bay or Indianapolis

thats gonna be a good coaching combo if it happens.
How would you guys feels having Rex Ryan ad our OC

Sarcasm?

He's getting the head coaching job in Buffalo and he's a defensive guy. You had to be using sarcasm.
Hearing now that he may be heading to Oakland to join Del Rio as OC with possibly Mike Smith as DC

I saw this too. Probably a great choice for the situation.

we also heard he was going to follow Rex Ryan. Take it with a grain of salt. Still think hes not coming here

And Rod Marinelli was going to be DC in Tampa.

Funny how every football analyst for ESPN, Fox, SI, CBS, etc wants to be the first guy to report something so they hang out a name as a potential OC or DC. If it happens, they can point to it and say "I had it first".

If you throw enough names out there, eventually you're going to get it right.  Quantity over quality.

Can't lie......would prefer he go wherever an established QB is......if he goes by any of the QBs that came in with Bortles or any of the rookies that came in this year and have a great offense and we're sub par.......would feel pissed off

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Raiders will interview ex-Bears coach Marc Trestman for their offensive-coordinator vacancy.

The Raiders join the Browns and Jaguars as clubs interested in Trestman. All three teams have second-year quarterbacks for 2015, but Trestman reportedly "absolutely loves" Derek Carr. Trestman was the Raiders' offensive play-caller from 2001-2003. He and Adam Gase have been linked to the Raiders.

Its fitting he loves the QB who excels in dink and dunk.
