Blake worked with Palmer before the draft and is planning on working with him during this off-season. Palmer is a journeyman/practice squad QB and thats the guy Blake trusts to teach him how to be a QB in the offseason? It honestly makes no sense.

I'd rather Blake take lessons from Jordan than Chad

Because Palmer is a veteran NFL QB who may not have the talent to be a pro starter, but he's definitely been there and done that, and can help Bortles improve. Simple as that.

Also, Peyton Manning was booked.

Better than Henne I guess.
I would rather want him to wait till after the Super Bowl and try to get Big Ben to work with him. Similar body types, maybe Ben can show him a few things.

Because just because Palmer didn't play well dosent mean he can't teach.
Not a good argument. Most coaches never were very good NFL players or didn't even play but it doesn't mean they can't impart good knowledge.
Maybe he can work with a retired QB? Someone like Farve or Warner?

Sure its better than Henne but I gotta think there is a better option out there

Apparently Blake has already worked with Ben and hopes to work with him again this offseason

This is great. It would help him elevate his game to the next level. You have to figure out how to use that big body to your advantage. Bortles never got the right coaching in High School or College, so he has to learn the mechanics part fast and it would help with someone like Ben with similar body type to excel in some areas he isn't so great at now.
Not all the greatest coaches in any sport (boxing, mma, basketball, football, baseball, etc.) had "great" or even "good" careers. Doesnt mean they don't the know fundamentals inside and out and are great teachers.
Look at how much money Butch Harmon Has won on the PGA Tour.

Also sometimes it has to do with timing. Right coach right player at the right time. Bortles and Bradley. It could have been Bortles and someone else. Fisch was a experiment that failed. That was bad timing to team up a college OC to try to run a pro offense in the NFL.
Palmer might not have the talent to be a pro QB, it doesn't mean he couldn't be a pro coach. Alot of times its the guys who didnt have the talent to play, but understand the position and how to play it

Teaching and instructing are far different than playing and performing.
Some people like Blake are born with natural talent, but lack some refinement. Some people like Palmer aren't born with natural talent but have made an nfl career out of working hard and getting right everything they physically can.

Good teacher IMO.

Hmm, good argument along with the others. I can see it now.

I was watching Ben play against the Bengals Sunday, and he looks alot like Bortles except two things.  His footwork and accuracy.  Ben has a tight spiral, and can shuffle around the pocket, and still hit the man in stride or deep.  I think if he hangs out with him for another off-season, it's going to do wonders for our team.

It will come to Bortles with better OL and working on his footwork and mechanics.
you must understand Palmer has learned every offensive style of the many many many coaches and years he was in the NFL. He has been coached by many good OC and probably has more knowledge of the QB position then most.
