Brandon Scherff - Dude's a monster on the field. It's ridiculous how nasty he is.

One of the main issues with the O-Line currently is that they don't seem very passionate. Ever. He brings that, and bringing him in can mean one of two things.
Of course once you draft him you have to figure out which side he'll play, and what you'll do with Joeckel, but whatever the combination the Jags choose, Scherff will be Scherff.
I wouldn't mind the pick in a trade back if Ray and Gregory are off the board
yeah, I might be down with that............depending on draft position
I haven't had a chance yet to really watch the linemen in the draft but I'm agreeing with you. Peat seems like a guy who's never lived up to his potential and Ogubehi is just athletic with bad technique.
There's a lot of jersey grabbing, and throwing of DB and LB to the ground. I bet he will get some holds in the NFL. But you got to like the finish. Would like the video better if I saw him handle more of the big guys. Also one of the highlights would have been a sack in the NFL IMO, the guy had him beat to the inside but went down. Still you like the finish, and he can definitely run block.
Wow! Seems nasty! Depending on draft spot we may have to give him a big look #ProtectBlake
He's definitely the best offensive lineman in the draft and is probably better suited as a right tackle since he's more of a mauler. I wouldn't be completely be against drafting him in a trade back scenario if the top pass rushers are off the board. However, I think we could better maximize our draft pick with another player at a more crucial position as good right tackles will still be on the board on day two.
I'm cautious about any lineman from Iowa, Texas A&M or Stanford.
It would not surprise me to see T.J. Clemmings of Pittsburgh get drafted before Scherff.

Like him too. Would not shock me to see him end up a top 20 pick.
I like Stanley from Notre Dame as the best OT in the draft. Clemmings is pretty good too. Schreff seems to be more like a guard rather than a tackle.
He doesn't look like the pushover that Joeckel is, however he would need to clean up a lot of his footwork and arm movement (don't they all).. helooks like he makes a lot of plays on pure strength which is nice.. he doesn't look bad though
Next year looks really good for OL too
only way i'm down with this is a trade back. in that case i'm more than cool with it because we really need to fix this line.
He sure is great at holding and mauling DBs. Yeah, he took on a few LBs, but as said above I woulda liked to have seen him go against some more DEs in that video. He sure does have the nastiness and competitve side and I honestly do love that. I'd have to see more tape of him, but I like his edge.
Schreff seems more like a Guard to me. If we go OL in the first round it has to be LT Stanley from ND, guy is a stud and the best LT coming out. They could draft him and slide Joekel inside or back to RT. Not the sexy pick but we definitely need to upgrade the OL and this is a good way to start, just look how much better the Cowboys have been playing
That was nasty love the finish
THAT is what an offensive lineman is supposed to look like/behave.
Plug him in at RT.
Only if we trade back or if we win another game and drop to below 5th overall.
I'm not a fan of drafting an offensive lineman in the top 10.
The RT position here is an embarrassment. Scherff is a nasty, competitive player who I feel fits with Bradley as a coach. I don't see him as a LT, but quite frankly, it doesn't matter. The line as a whole needs more talent and strength on it, and Scherff fits that bill.
The issue with him is his form. It's good that he trusts in his strength, but he'll need more than that in the NFL. That's something that can be fixed. The other is penalties. He may draw personal fouls and holds, but whatever, I'd rather see penalties like those then see Bortles take more shots like he took last night from Sam Young's side.
