Yeah, I can't watch Chad Henne as starter ever again. If bortles goes on IR, can we just forfeit out?

We beat the Titans with Chad Henne last year.
Quote:For what? For believing in Chad? Then fine, a troll I am. I can't help it. I've believed in the guy ever since I saw him in that onesie. That's the guy you want leading the troops down the field. That's a guy we can all stand by and believe in.

You must be sick

And a few years back we beat Pittsburgh, twice, in the same season, in their stadium, taking them out of the playoffs.  History.  That's what that's called.
@HaysCarlyon: Blake Bortles looks fine moving around while throwing. He's jogging, be surprising if he can't play. #Jaguars
@HaysCarlyon: Bortles says his foot felt fine running around during walkthrough, he remains confident he will play Thursday.
Oh thank The Lord. I can't stand to watch Henne huck'em and chuck'em to the other team and then creepily drink Gatorade on the sidelines any longer.

I would prefer to see Khan pay Kurt Warner or Brett Favre a jillion dollars per game to come and get blown up behind our Oline, on live display (especially Brett), for entertainment purposes only, rather than watch Henne hunk and chunk a damn football and throw the dump off for three hours straight. I won't make it this time.
It doesn't sound like a Lisfranc injury, although they're saying it is the middle foot.  I like the fact that he's determined to get on the field and lead this team.  Now, let's hope this motivates his line to make the necessary improvements over the next couple of games to keep him upright, and let's also hope that Bortles stops feeling pressure that's not there and simply slide up in the pocket.  Finally, let's hope all those drops that have been the trademark for our WRs and TEs this year disappear at least for the next couple of games.

The fact that he did not miss a play in Baltimore tells me he should be OK on Thursday. However it was good to read he got out of his walking boot today.

He didn't miss a play, but he also wasn't as effective or mobile as he was against Houston. If he can't plant that foot to deliver his passes, that could become an issue.

I am more concerned about mobility in the pocket than passing accuracy. Isn't Blake supposed to throw off his left foot because he is a right-handed quarterback?

Do you understand the mechanics of throwing a football?  The right foot is the plant foot for a right handed QB.  That's the foot he should end his drops on, and the one he should be pushing off of when throwing.  If he can't do so because of pain, he's going to throw a lot of ducks that just wobble around out there.

All the time I hear about passes being incomplete or intercepted because the quarterback "threw off his back foot," which of course is the right one.

Throwing off the back foot has more to do with the balance a player has when he's throwing the ball than anything else.  When Bortles doesn't plant properly and push into his passes, they wobble.  When he can plant and push forward stepping into the pass, he's spinning the ball more effectively, and he's more accurate.

Being a Winston hater I'd love to see us draft Jameis so he could get blown up behind our line.

Publix has way too many stores in the area for him to avoid trouble.

Plus the headquarters apparently is in Jacksonville.

He'll never make it Jacksonville once he sees that big Publix warehouse off of I-10.

LOL
Quote:After one sack in the fourth quarter, Blake Bortles limped off the same way Toby Gerhart did in Philadelphia. But he did not miss any plays. Did he get sacked again because of a right ankle injury?
Honestly the season is shot, he had tons of experince this year & I see no need for him to play tomorrow.  They should take him out to heal and maybe play the last week of the season.
