If Alabama loses, does the SEC get shut out of the BCS Playoffs??
IF ALL THE BELOW WIN ....
Oregon - 1 loss
FSU - 0 losses
TCU - 1 loss
Baylor - 1 loss
Ohio State - 1 loss
or if 2-loss WISC beats OSU and takes the Big 10
or does 2-loss Missouri get the bid even though they lost to Indiana and got crushed against Georgia.
does 2-loss Arizona get consideration if they win the Pac12 Conf Championship game and 2 or 3 teams above get upset? AZ would have beaten Oregon 2x this season.
I personally don't see how an SEC team could get held out this year. They are the best conference in college football and someone should get a crack at it.
In my opinion, Alabama, Auburn, or Mississippi State have a shot to win it all.
Yes, the SEC will not make it. Missouri would be considered, but I don't see how it's possible.
I can't see it either BUT if Missouri beats Bama .... can 2-loss Bama really go who just lost to 2-loss Missouri? Miss State has 2 losses ....... Miss has 3 and Auburn has 4 losses
I think if Bama losses, the SEC gets shut out (or they go safe and give 2-loss Missouri the bid based on their recent wins)

no, if Bama loses they are out. Missouri would be considered, but they would need one of Ohio State, Baylor, Oregon to lose. In those cases Arizona and Wisconsin would also be considered. Missouri, beating the #1 team would move up a lot but it's EXTREMELY unlikely they win and these other teams lose.

I think if alabama loses then it is very likely there won't be any SEC teams in the playoff.

Miss St went from No 1 to No 4 after their loss (so did Ole Miss)....it wouldnt shock me if they kept Bama at 4.

probably depends how they lose, if they did.
This Missouri team is really average. Their biggest wins yet came over UF, SC, and Arkansas.
Against UF they had like 100 yards of total offense and just benefited from a crumbling Jeff Driskel and UF team.
They got lucky as ever with SC as Spurrier and co had their routine meltdown at the end of the game.
Arkansas game was close, but Arkansas' QB was hurt at the end of the game and couldn't complete ANYTHING.
After watching what Chris Davis did to Bama last year, highly unlikely but anything is possible..
How in the world could you rank a 2 loss Bama team over a 2 loss Missouri team? That makes no sense. It's not happening.
I've had this conversation with a buddy. I don't think the SEC gets shut out no matter what happens. #1 in power five will be represented.
There's like a 1% chance Bama loses, so...
Missouri is not very good. They have tall fast receivers who are not even really good at catching the ball. They have a decent running game that they barely use. Their defense is small and built to pass rush. It's a horrible matchup for them against Bama.

Currently Missouri is #17....there is no way they will jump up and pass Bama.

You are looking at the rankings as if it's an AP poll. Missouri will absolutely jump Bama if they win and are crowned SEC champion. Where they were ranked previously is irrelevant to the committee.

Yes, but you would have other teams that only have 1 loss and won their conference which they said is a big deal in their decision.

I think you are wrong.

Unfortunately, maybe fortunately, I don't think any of us will ever be proven right or wrong on this matter.
You'd have to think anyone who is in the top 4 that loses this weekend is all but eliminated.
I guess we'll find out though.

You are probably right
