Quote:I don't see Freeze leaving Ole Miss.
I think he will probably stay as well but this will certainly help his wallet either way.
Other names that I see floating around right now of coaches who seem mutually interested are Brian Kelly and Bob stoops.
I didn't think Brian Kelly would leave Notre same but I believe he would be the best overall hire assuming they can also provide a strong defensive coordinator.

UF fans are all making these hypothetical offers to these big name coaches, because they can't imagine anyone turning it down, but as usual, they will all turn it down, and they'll wind up with someone lesser well known.

Quote:You know whats funny, before this year started I leaned much harder towards FSU......because of whats happened, I find myself defending UF more. Between the defending of Jameis and the annoyance of the fan base, FSU has been an easy team to #hate.
All of the big Football Factories with large fan bases are easy to hate.

These are rumors of MUTUAL interest being reported from people with supposed inside information.
It isn't just a gator fan saying OMG WE SHOULD GET BRIAN KELLY!
I don't know if the rumors are true but I will have to give them the benefit of the doubt for now because I have absolutely no inside information.

You sound more arrogant than any UF fan. lol

Not always true, but I started to really really dislike Florida during the Tebow years because of their fans...now its the same thing with FSU fans. (obviously FSU fans think they are wholesome and as down to earth now as they were before this run started)

Quote:Saban gets paid that much because of who he is and same with muschamp. Florida has the ability to pay just as much as bama.
They have top flight facilities, because they're in the sec and in the state of Florida they have the ability to recruit better than 90% of schools.
They have recent champions and are known as a college football power.
Recruits love the weather vs somewhere like Wisconsin or Michigan.
Scholarships
Its easily a top 5 job, possibly the #1 job.
May not look like it from the outside right now with what happened with muschamp and some more losses than usual but for those who understand college football, it is.
I don't know about top flight facilities anymore. Apparently UF is in need of some big time upgrades. FSU has surpassed if in facilities.

I never said they have the #1 facilities in college football. Congratulations on having nice facilities.

Yeah I see you've really latched on to the little brother thing. The important thing that little brother is better at is head to head vs FSU. So you can have the facilities for now. Then when uf upgrades them just like all big time programs eventually do, it being a cyclical thing, then FSU will have nothing.

Forget facilities. That does not carry as much weight as you would think.
Will he be able to cover up for his players when they screw up? Thats what he really wants to know. If I were the new coach I'd ask for that in writing in addition to that million dollar contract.

Facilities absolutely matter to kids today.

And if I were doing the hiring, I would want to know if he has money-management skills. Can he work with rich boosters and their bag men to get the money to the players.

No pellini got fired from Nebraska. Might be a potential fit for defensive coordinator at Florida or somewhere else next season if he doesn't take any time off.
