A 7th round pick is a disappointment?

I voted for Linder. Telvin Smith was 2nd. Both were great picks. A+


 

Robinson has been good as a possession receiver, but I'd rate him behind Hurns because I prefer deep threats to possession receivers. His injuries are also a factor.


 

I hope that Bortles turns out to be the clear winner if this poll is redone next season.

A Rob has played solid but he's been directly responsible for some of BBs ints. At least 4 times i can easily think of he failed to fight for the ball or run his route hard and had it lead to an Int for Blake.

The Linder votes suprised me a bit, as I didnt feel anyone on the Oline has done a fantastic job this season when you look at the stats.  I read articles that said Linder is having a ProBowl type of year, but when I watched the game I saw him wiff on a few blocks one that lead to a sack.  I mean he's a rookie and I get that, playing next to a rookie center & the RT Paztor has been injured most of the season.

I expected a lot of votes for Allen Robinson though, wouldve thought it would be equal to Hurns especially considering Robinson was a 2nd Round pick while Hurns went undrafted.

Telvin has played great in stretches, but he's been really bad at times as well.  I don't mean to kill the enthusiasm many have for him because I have high hopes for him as well, but let's wait until he's consistent before we anoint him.  He handed the Bengals 2 points via a safety on the blocked punt they had.  Completely whiffed on his assignment which can be seen at the 1:05 mark on this video on the Bengals page:

I voted AR15 because it's easy to see what he's accomplished and I don't have any recollection of him playing bad or making a terrible play and he fights for the extra yard or two every time.  Hurns has too many drops, though he seems to be better about it now than he was at the beginning of the season.  He's going to have to get that part of his game under control or the team won't make him a priority signing when it comes time for that.  It feels like he has to double-catch every ball that's thrown to him.

 

I'm not sure how to judge good o-line play.  I know bad o-line play when I see it because it usually involves someone whiffing badly on a block.  I'll leave you guys to making those judgments and take your word for it.

Linder easily. He's a future pro-bowler.

Linder and Bowanko are doing great jobs considering they're mid and late round rookies. For a 6th rounder to come in and start at center in his rookie year and look good while doing so is fantastic. Swanson who the Lions drafted in the 3rd (I think) was having trouble adjusting to the NFL level so they kept a  vet around and have been giving Swanson snaps at guard. Impressive stuff.

 

ARob got my vote just because the teams looks much better when he plays. He's automatic on third down and I don't remember being able to say that about a Jags receiver.

 

Telvin and Hurns have had some great moments too, both have had moments where they've looked like 5th round and UDFA players, but other times they've looked like top 10 draft picks which is great.

 

This draft class is damn exciting, forget the present for a moment - these kids will be on this roster for 4-5+ years and most of them will only get better. What a solid foundation for success.

Wait you critize Telvin Smith's blocking abilities... yes he made a mistake but he's not an OT...

take him off STs then.. .it'll just keep him more fresh as OLB!

Allen Robinson. It's a shame he went out with that foot injury, he could've had a 1,000 yard season in Jax as a rookie. That's unprecedented. 

 

I think the rookie class has performed very well thus far, they've been a big part of the team. Our receivers are rookies, our QB is a rookie, and half our O-Line are rookies. That shows a lot.

This has to be one of the worst years for injuries for the Jaguars in history.  Has there ever been a year where the Jaguars had more players injured?

I remember 2008 when the team lost Manuwai, Meester, and Mo Williams, paired with the Collier shooting. All in the first week of the season. 

 

Apart from that, I can't remember much else.
