Is there any way we can hit the reset button on our fan base and start it from scratch again?

Things take time. They have had 2 drafts to fill in 53 holes.... And we tried to get mack

 It depends on what you mean by season.

 

Are they playing for a playoff spot this season? No. That seasons over.

 

Are they playing to win their division? No. That seasons over.

 

Are they playing to avoid another losing season? No. That seasons over.

 

Are they playing to have a better record than last season? Yes, That season is still alive. It's on life support, but technically, it's still alive.

 

Are they playing to avoid the worst record in Franchise history? Yes, That season is still alive.

 

Are they playing for the #1 pick in the draft? Yes. That season is still alive.

 

Are they playing because they have only played 11 games in a 16 game season? Yes. That season is still alive.

 

See, so it really depends on what you mean by season.

Let's "rebuild" the fans base.

53 holes as you say, 7 picks/draft so in 8 years the Jags will be ready?

 

Is that the idea you are proposing?  Be patient for 8 more years?

You know you can leave here right?  Most people here actually carry pretty logical conversations and for the most part passionately care about this team!

Truth be known, the majority of what's said here is not whining.  It's informed and logical speculation or observations.  Fans are discussing legitimate concerns here.

Look, I used to be one of the guys that was all about patience.  I gave Blaine Gabbert the benefit of the doubt for nearly 2.5 years while many said he flat out sucks from the day he stepped onto the field.

 

I gave Alualu the benefit of the doubt... I even (and I'm ashamed to admit to it now) defended the Anger selection...somewhat.

 

I used to be one of those.  But I can't do it anymore.  I don't have faith anymore.  Blind faith is not a noble trait to have, IMO.... It's our duty as fans to assess the situation objectively.

I didn't realize calling out the bad play of 1 win team in late November constitutes whining...

Well you know it now! Whining about the futility of a 27 game stretch admonishes you to impatient whiner! Don't you get it?

I kind of look at the Jags as one of my favorite college teams, although a bad college team. I go into the game already knowing that they are a bad college team and are more then likely going to lose the game, no matter who the opponent might be.

 

I just keep hoping that maybe, just maybe, one day, they will actually get good enough to make it into the real NFL.

 

Will that day ever happen? Maybe, maybe not, it will depend on if they actually get the right coaches/GM in place.

 

So until that happens, I just sit and watch my favorite college team play, knowing full well that they are probably going to be outmatched and outcoached again and again and again and again...................................and lose the game.

 

So basically, I just separate the Jags from the real NFL and watch accordingly.

 

One day they might make it into the NFL, but that day is not in the foreseeable future.

Reporter: "Gus what do you think about the execution of your offense?"

 

Bradley: "I'm in favor of it."
