Quote:I'm still undecided on Telvin. Yes, his size is an issue, but he will thicken up over the next few years. I'm not sure if I'm seeing him make great plays, or if my recent lack of seeing good plays just makes him look better. :geek:

Last game he was all over, but as NH3 said earlier the previous game I saw some whiffs and arm tackles and he was not shedding blocks. So he is up and down and with his weight I bet his recovery time and endurance is suffering. His frame is taking a beating.Another year of maturity, weights, and hopefully we see Telvin really turn into a pro.
He is a rookie, he has to learn this year & next.  He'll improve and probably gain weight during the offseason (which might slow him down).

Quote:Telvin played "Lights Out" yesterday. Twelve tackles to lead the team as he solidified his future at the WLB position. Yes, I do believe that Telvin has put an Choke Hold on the position. He was much more active, always around the ball, covered the pass well, displayed guided missle type instinks against the run and don't get me started on his ST thumping... That was an awesome hit...

He definately needs to bulk up as I feel that he will BUT please, please, please Telvin don't lose that speed...

Awesome game young man...

NH3...
My thoughts exactly I am not so hung on him gaining weight as I wouldnt want to hinder his speed.  Its like somebody hit Fast Fwd on him only in the booth when watching real time.
Quote:Telvin will start Sunday at the Weak Side LB position. We'll see how he performs throughout the game. BUT, I've paid special attention to his play. He seriously gets blowed away by O-linemen. I mean straight out of the picture. He's an non factor against the run game for the most part. As many have stated, he's too light but he has plenty of talent...

Telvin has to put on 20+ lbs...

NH3...
Sorry to say but you probably have to eat those words after the way he played against the Colts.  He stopped the run a few times even behind the line of scrimage (losing his helment on one play during the tackle).
Keep in mind he wasnt a starter all season long, and only played on occasion in nickle packages.

38 solo tackles, 15 assist for 53 total tackles!

2 sacks for 13 yards loss, 1 INT for 15yards, 2 fumble recoverys and 1 forced fumble, and 3 pass D.

I mean for a guy that hasnt even started and is trying hard to even get on the field plus being a ROOKIE...

Man thats fantastic stats!

Oooooooooooooooo. Kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk...

So the most impressive play of 2014's season at the WLB position is What Again...

Poz was our previous multiple tackler and Telvin has taken over the position of being the Tackler of The Jaguars...

Say it isn't So...
