He was blaming his teammates in the press conference. He said it's not just one guy it's 11. If Brady or Manning's guys were doing bad they wouldn't have their stats. That was paraphrased, but I have to say, the leader of a team does not say that about his players. He's toast in Washington.

Like seriously...lost to the Bucs...wha? Can't believe there wasn't a thread for this already. All those picks they gave to trade up for him...not looking good

That's not how I understood it. In fact he made sure to take ownership considering his criticism the past couple of weeks.

That's what he said in the clip I saw. Maybe NBC took it out of context. That wouldn't be the first time...

RG3 was misused by Shanny and son in his early days as a Redskin. He should have been developed as more of a pocket passer. He had the ability to do it, IMO, and likely wouldn't have tore his body apart doing it.
He's as good as done as a Redskin.

He has regressed since his ROTY season.
Is it the injury? or some other reason for his regression?

Injury, people trying to change his playing style, and now a new coach and offensive scheme that is designed for a pocket passer not a dual threat type.

Is RG3 completely healed enough to go back to being that dual threat he was his rookie year?

Guy is fragile, no doubt about it.. but he is an intelligent individual and has a very unique combination of skills. Could you imagine a healthy RGIII in Chip Kelly's offense? That offense made Mark Sanchez look normal (at least for the first week he ran it).

This is what happens when you think you are close and you give up draft picks for a single player. It train wrecks your franchise for three to five years. We did the same thing when we thought we were a DE away from winning it all.
They do have a few more wins then us so they have that.

I really hope he gets a better chance in a new place. I doubt we see him as a redskin for much longer unless something crazy happens.

And to think.... this team beat us up and down like we just stole something.
I don't think we realize just how bad that game really was.
10 sacks.
Yuck.

I think teams will be less likely to move up in the draft and give up a boatload of picks now.
There's more and more evidence to suggest trading up and giving up a lot of picks for 1 player is not the right way of building.

Lots of teams beat us up and down the field when Henne was the QB.
With Henne, there was just nothing the Jags could do but take it, and boy did they ever take it, game after game after game.
Anything more than a TD lead was insurmountable, and that's even with Scobee being pretty reliable from 50yds out, but we can't even count on that anymore.
The fact that Henne actually beat the Texans twice last season just goes to show how absolutely disfunctional the Texans were at the time, and how a losing streak really plays into the mind of a team.
I consider it a small miracle that the Jags actually won 3 of 4 games in one stretch last season and 4 overall. I'm still not even sure how they did it with Henne as QB.

They played 3 games against the only two teams in the league that drafted ahead of them, and those teams were in that position because they were uninspired and playing out the string for dead coaches walking.
If the Jaguars had played the texans nearer the beginning of the season they would have likely been beaten soundly, but they were (un?)fortunate enough to draw them at the end of the season and got a couple of really tough wins against them.

Well the Rams who drafted 2nd overall in 2014 finished the season with a 7-9 record and they beat the Jags by 2 TDs.
They drafted #2 because of the RG3 trade and where Washington finished the 2013 season, which was 3-13, 1 game worse then the Jags.
Had the Jags and Texans played their 2 games earlier in the season, they probably would have won both of them. The Texans did start out the season 2-0, before finding a way to lose 14 straight games to end the season.

Agree on all points.
He came to the league with rare talent, particularly at his position. Since then, I believe he's been physically and mentally broken by the way he was mishandled.

If there's a team that's likely to repeat the insanity, it would be the Redskins. I wouldn't put anything past Snyder.

RG3 sucks. Yes been overrated since day one but nobody wanted to admit that Luck the was real deal so they pimped up RG3 and Wilson.

Yes, my mistake. I keep thinking it was cleveland that drafted #2, but that was #4.
Still, the point stands, the only reason the Jaguars won those 3 games last season was because they fell at the right time of the season for those teams to be completely uninspired.
