I'm happy for Gator fans, as a non-Gator fan it's been tough for me to watch where Muschamp has taken the Gator program. I can't imagine how it must be for a fan of the team.

Muschamp wasn't the problem. The problem was FSU, USC, UGA, UCF, MSST, TENN, Miami, all elevated their programs and cut the UF slice of the recruiting pie smaller. It's why Urban left.
The high school rushing champion of ALL time, Derick Henry of Yulee, went to Alabama. Eight years ago he would have gone to Gainesville.
I think a guy like Jim McElwain from Colorado State will be a good candidate. He took Fresno State into an offensive power, was hired by Saban to be Alabama OC during their championships, and now has taken the CSU Rams from losers to winners at 9-1.

Think about the last time an Iowa coach was on the hot seat all season because he took that team the wrong direction. That might help you understand.

I wasn't old enough to remember the last time that happened...I was maybe 7-8 when Hayden Fry retired after a couple of rough seasons in 1998. I don't know if he was on the "hot seat" at that point as he was and is a legend among the University of Iowa fan base. Prior to that Fry had been the coach since 1998.
Ferentz seat has never truly been "hot" from a University standpoint. He brings in a lot of money for the university and for the most part has put together consistently solid teams in his tenure.

Fry was never on the hot seat. Some people were surprised he retired when he did. Ferentz was named Big Ten COTY in 2002 for turning the program around, so if Fry retired in 1998, there had to be a coach between them.

Does Google not work for you?

Quote:My only issue with bringing him to Gainesville is he has no history with the SEC. Does he know what it takes to win in that conference?
He took MSU from ashes to a legitimate contender each of the last 4 or 5 seasons.
He has a proven track record.

Gators next head coach is Jim Harbaugh. Dynasty.

I know what he did at MSU. No denying that. Of course I would be happy if the Gators hire him because of that. But if a coach in the SEC has done the same thing, why would Dantonio be better than that guy?

Even Michigan does not want him.

Mike Gundy. I would be on board. He's a man.

How about Al Golden... I heard he would love to come lose in Gainesville.

My second bold prediction of the day, (and the one I'm more confident in, Ha!) Chip Kelly, next Florida coach.

Why would Chip Kelly leave a job he's currently doing really well at to go back to college?

why would ben affleck take the role in Gigli?
why would florida re-relect rick scott?
why do people continue to marry pamela anderson even though she has hepatitis?
