Just change the helmets to all black matte

I like the two tone helmets better than the teal sparkle ones we had awhile back.

 

I liked the mustard uni's at first...

but after a couple showings.... meh.

 

I'd be OK with a new uni. Less "gold"

 

Here's what I would do:

 

My first order of business would be controversial, but better in the long run.  I would change teal to olive green.  It fits the military team idea, and goes so much better with black and gold.  You could do some really sweet uni's with this scheme.  In fact, I can't think of a "military" Jags piece of gear I haven't wanted to buy.  Why not make it permanent?  Don't get me wrong, I like teal.  I just don't believe it's a marketable color.

 

Now, I realize some die hard fans have committed to teal, but outside of Teal Curtain and a few support organizations, what identity has this team build around this color?  We've had like 4 different shades of teal since the inception of this franchise.  It would be far better to build the new team around a military identity, use a color that's associated with the military, then market it that way.

I would have a solid color helmet... sort of.  I would do a matte black that had Jaguar spots on it.  The Jag spots would be matte black as well, but would be designed to appear only when the light hit in just the right angle.  So, in a way, it's a combo of the speckled helmets, but instead of just swapping too a teal, it would most resemble a black Jaguar in the wild.  Our logo would be on the side as it is currently (I would love to do a version of this that was all black, but the NFL wouldn't allow it).  

 

The away uniform would be a simple, sleek design.  Our dark uni would be all black, trimmed in olive green and gold, with our numbers in gold.  I believe the NFL rules stipulate that your numbers have to contrast against the black, so gold would be the best option.  The sides of the uniform on both the jersey and pants would mirror the helmet (in that it would be black on black, with the Jaguar spots being able to be seen in just the right light), with the front and rear facing jersey being a solid black.

 

The home uniform would represent the military.  It would have a white top, with olive green numbers, and olive green pants, with black and gold trim.  

 

The alternate uniform would be military green in it's entirety, including a matte green helm, gold numbers, and a digital camo pattern running on the sides of the legs and jersey.  

 

You could market the hell out of this uniform.  I would have written this more thoroughly, but my daughter is ready to go eat, and she's told me that too many times as I was typing this.

Let me stop you there....

change the helmet and make the black uni's less ugly, and burn every mustard uniform in existence. 

Fixing the helmets and throwing away the mustard uniforms would go a long way, but those 2002-2008 uniforms were super sweet.

The uniforms have grown on me except the mustard yellow those have to go. The helmets suck I'd like to see those change.

Replace the gold with teal.  Gloss black helmets with the current logo.  Fixed.

I've heard they are going to eventually get rid of the teal altogether, which would grind my gears. Teal is the only unique color we have. White, Black, and Gold??? Saints have already claimed that color scheme.

I presented good reasons why olive green would be a superior color to teal.  I am a fan of teal, personally, but it is not a marketable color.  Olive green (as in the military green you've seen used on military Jags gear) is a great color.  It would be unique to the jags, stay consistent, and would fit the military theme, making it significantly more marketable.

Are you crazy? Olive green is the ugliest color on earth. It reminds me of baby poop.

Just change the helmets. Those things are disaster. The color rush urine uniforms are pretty gross also.

 

I think next year they do this as it's the final year of the deal?

Winning and new unis aren't mutually exclusive issues. You can want one and still care about the other just as much.

And what we as fans worry about has zero affect on what the players worry about or do so us discussing new unis because we as fans have to look at them and wear them isnt going to do anything. Step off that high horse guy you sound dumb.

Not that color matters... but when our guys wear teal out there.... they look like a bunch of pool inflatables. Teal is the new Beige.. its not in style.

I don't care.

I don't care if the uniforms are pink.
