Just bring in a playmaker at the position.

Marcedes is a good blocker but a below average pass catcher. Even though he is very tall and big, he has poor agility and ball skills.

He plays much better along the LOS than he does in space.

I see this tossed around frequently when E. Sanders is brought up. I think Sanders is really good and is playing in a better offense that utilizes his speed better. Sure Manning helps - but I don't think "he makes all receivers look awesome."

Welker looked much better with Brady.

on topic: I think Marcedes will give the offense a bit of a boost. He played well last year and looked good briefly this year before the injury.

Agreed. Sanders was productive before he hit free agency with Pittsburgh. Of course it doesn't hurt to have a future HoF QB tossing you the ball as well but Sanders is doing exactly what I and many others expected to do when he was signed.
I'd [BLEEP] myself if we got Jimmy Graham. Alas, I don't remember us ever getting any free agent that was the best of his position, so it's just wishful thinking.

I still wonder about Julius Thomas though. A lot of people have said the only reason he looks good now is because of Peyton, which could definitely be true. I'd like to see it, but I think it's a risk either way.

i dont. He doesnt add much other than blocking to the team. hes never been a reliable pass catching threat.

Last time Marcedes had a capable QB and an offensive line where he didnt have to stay in and block all the time he had a great 2 year stretch.

They should definitely look for a more athletic TE but Marcedes can be a good contributor to the team.

I'd rather Draft Funchess

He seems to get hurt a lot.

I like him as a red zone target, great hybrid WR/TE for BB5.
