As bad as I'd like FSu to keep this title, Ohio State takes. They were ridiculously outmatched and undeserving.

Ohio State got crushed by the national champions. If Clemson shut out Penn State, would you say the Nittany Lions are undeserving?

No. Penn State won their Division and Conference. Ohio State wasn't deserving regardless of the outcome.

I don't follow college ball like I used to, but I'm still a Seminole fan.

 

When I was a kid my older cousin attended  FSU in 1986-89.  The same period as Deion Sanders.  My uncle took my brother and I to one game each year during that span and I naturally became a fan.

That has nothing to do with how many points Penn State would have scored in my hypothetical situation.

It made total sense to me, that's how I was able to answer your hypothetical question.

Of course I don't want to focus on how Ohio State's 2016 season ended with some exciting NFL dates coming up.

Virginia Tech did not get crushed by the national champions the way OSU did.

 

VT hung 35 on them.  Had the opportunity to take it to OT on the final drive.

 

Zero points and giving up 31 doesn't show you deserve to be on the same field as your opponent.
