In reality, any Jags fans who have been fans for a while, should be pretty immune to being upset by now.
A loss is pretty much the expected outcome each week.
I mean, at 1-9 (2-12 counting the preseason) how can it not be?
Unfortunately, the losing culture has taken over again, well actually, it just didn't really go any where, it has been here for a long time now.

I agree, this tendency is absolutely the most frustrating thing to me.

Quote:I understand that completely. It's one of those things where you have to decide for yourself.
If you want to only be a fan when the team is winning though are you ever really a fan though? Ask a Royals or Cubs fan that.
If you just want to jock the winning team, then go find the winning team of the season. There is a difference.
There is a middle ground between only supporting a winning team and supporting a team no matter what. Even when the Cubs went 100 years without a World Series they had winning seasons. The Jags have now gone 7 years without a winning season, and are currently tied for their worst start of 1-9 after 10 games, a three way tie from each of the last 3 years.
Is expecting one winning season every seven years, or at least improving on a 1-9 start once in the next two years, too much to ask?
The Jags were totally unprepared for this game. Covering Dez Bryant one on one with 31 seconds left in the half ... really? The ST have been a disaster all season. Where's the coaching?

The Jaguars suck. They've sucked since 2000, with rare exceptions. An 8-8 year would be like winning the Super Bowl for this fan base. Hell, 6-10 would be as good as a playoff berth at this point. The sooner you accept that the Jaguars suck, the more numb you become to it, and the easier it is to switch the TV off, walk away and have a laugh at the same old Jaguars when you're down 31-7. Expecting better is begging for heartburn.

No substances involved in this lethargy.
100% Jaguars induced.
My 5 year old brought home a nasty bug... Though even if I was 100% healthy, I'd probably have the same outlook.
I'm not holding out hope for some crazy miraculous turn around to end this year. Though it would be nice to see!

I hear you. This team's single most frustrating aspect is it's tendency to be it's own worst enemy. Makes me grind my teeth at times.

I wonder how much different this game would have been if sander's didn't drop that punt? Do you think we would have driven the ball down the field and scored?
Who knows? At the end of the day, the 'boys looked way better than us. But maybe we would have had more confidence and played more aggressive if the score was closer or if we were winning...
It's these little things that would drive me crazy if we were a contender. But we're not.

I thought we looked better for the brief period before the fumble. We can play with teams straight up but when we lose the turnover battle by 2+, today is what it's gonna look like.

I think it is important to stay positive. Gus needs our support now more than ever. Actually, he could be fired tomorrow. It gives us all something to look forward too. If not now, when?

Pretty much... I got nothing else to add... So... You into luche libre or something?

Put me on the fed up with this team list. Even mediocrity eludes them. Of course it was a success for the bottom line, as the team makes money on these home games. That's the bottom line.
Carry on with the excuses. I've run out.
Really? Is anyone looking forward to games anymore?
There is zero improvement. That's on coaching. The Gus bus' engine sounds great, but mis fires and blows a lot of smoke.

Quantifying fanhood discredits fanhood.

Ultimately, I'd be a little more at peace with the losses if I felt we were giving our best effort and just getting beat by better teams. While many of the teams may indeed be better than our Jags, I don't think we're seeing the best this team can play yet and that's the part that is frustrating.

I've learned to embrace the suck and hope for a good draft, trades, free agency, etc. This year is clearly a bust. I am disappointed I paid for NFL Game Rewind to watch crappy games a day after they air, but at least I got a discount.
Embrace the suck, people.

I'm sad we are losing but I'm glad to see bright spots unlike much of last year. I also didnt expect much this season considering all the rookies and second year players. I still would like to hit 4 wins but as long as we play better(today was not a good day) and stay in games like we have been doing then I'm a bit more happy.

Bottom line is that we are being out-coached week after week. Simply bad game planning. Players aren't developing as well as they should.
I do see more talent on this year's team, but this team simply isn't getting better and that's the frustrating part.
