NY Jets - Ruin for the Bruin.

 Going to do another update!

Red means highly unlikely to win (-2 points)

Orange means unlikely to win (-1 point)

<b>Green means possible win (1 point)</b>

<b>Blue means likely to win (3 points)

(Current wins are worth 7 points)</b>

Oakland Raiders:

vs Chiefs

@ Rams -- (COMMON GAME)

vs 49ers

@ Chiefs

vs Bills

@ Broncos

Points: -2

Jaguars:

@ Colts

vs Giants

vs Texans

@ Ravens

vs Titans (COMMON GAME)

@ Texans

Points: 9

Jets:

@ Bills

vs Dolphins

@ Vikings

@ Titans

vs Patriots

@ Dolphins

Points: 12

Buccaneers:

@ Bears

vs Bengals

@ Lions

@ Panthers

vs Packers

vs Saints

Points: 9

Titans:

@ Eagles

<b>@ Texans</b>

<b>vs Giants</b>

<b>vs Jets (COMMON GAME)</b>

<b>@ Jaguars (COMMON GAME)</b>

<b>vs Colts</b>

Points: 16

So I'd rank the likelihood of the team getting the first pick:

1. Oakland Raiders

2. Jacksonville Jaguars

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

4. New York Jets

5. Tennessee Titans

OUTSIDE SHOT: Panthers/Redskins/Giants

No games this week seem to have a major impact one way or the other.

Well...Oakland pulled out the win last night.

Going to bring them to 8 points in next week's update. Assuming Bucs and Jags lose it will be a three-way tie by his system.

So we have the tiebreaker for SOS?  So if we lost this week, we'd have the #1 pick if the draft started next week?

This just feels like a bad year to have such a high pick, there's no premium players that are must haves it seems like.

If the Raiders can manage a couple more wins, and we finish above them in the draft, that could be very good news for our trade prospects...

A finish like this...

Jags

Quarterback-needy-team

Raiders

Would force teams to trade with us if they want Mariota. (Otherwise the team with the second pick gets them)

If the Raiders can't manage any more wins, then teams may choose to trade with them instead (or play us off against each other to get a more favourable trade)

Looking at their remaining games though, that could be wishful thinking !
Let's see how it goes:

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Red means highly unlikely to win (-2 points)

Orange means unlikely to win (-1 point)

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><b>Green means possible win (1 point)</b>

<b>Blue means likely to win (4 points)

(Current wins are worth 8 points)</b>

Oakland Raiders:

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">@ Rams -- (COMMON GAME)
vs 49ers
@ Chiefs
vs Bills

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">@ Broncos

Points: 6

Jaguars:

vs Giants
vs Texans
@ Ravens
vs Titans (COMMON GAME)
@ Texans

Points: 11

Jets:

vs Dolphins
@ Vikings

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">@ Titans
vs Patriots
@ Dolphins

Points: 15

Buccaneers:

vs Bengals

@ Lions
@ Panthers
vs Packers
vs Saints

Points: 10

Titans:

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><b>@ Texans</b>
<b>vs Giants</b>

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><b>vs Jets (COMMON GAME)</b>
<b>@ Jaguars (COMMON GAME)</b>
<b>vs Colts</b>

Points: 22

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">So I'd rank the likelihood of the team getting the first pick:

1. Oakland Raiders

2. Jacksonville Jaguars

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

4. New York Jets

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">5. Tennessee Titans

OUTSIDE SHOT: Panthers/Redskins/Giants

Most Important Games this week:

Raiders/Rams - A game the Raiders can win.

Jaguars/Giants - A game the Jaguars can win

Titans/Texans - A game the Titans can win.

<p style="color:rgb(40,40,40);font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">

A win by any of the 2 win teams would push them almost all the way out of range.

Have not figured out SOS for each team, but theoretically, if the status quo remains, the Jaguars could pick as low as 6th.

If we win one or two more games we can forget about drafting Gregory or trading down. We might even end up drafting after the Giants and Redskins.

It would seem unfair if we end with just four wins and end up picking between 5-10, but it's been that sort of season.

And it could be a blessing in disguise of we end up picking someone for the OL as a result.
Looks like the Bucs have the inside track for the #2 overall pick behind the Raiders.  The Bucs playing in the NFC South would most assuredly have the worst strength of schedule at the end of the season which would be the first tiebreaker for teams drafting with the same record.  To those of you who have lost your way and are rooting for the Jags to get the 1st or 2nd overall pick, it's not likely going to happen now especially with the win against the Giants.  We'd have to lose out and the Bucs would need to win 1 more for us to jump ahead of them in the 1st round of the draft.  The Bucs might get another, but I don't anticipate us losing out.

On a side note, most of the Bucs losses have been by 8 points or less with the exceptions being blowout losses to the Falcons and Ravens and another 10 point loss to the Falcons.  I would wager that they will be a better team and will likely have significantly more wins next year regardless of where they draft or who they get.

Raiders: 32%

Jets: 10%

You figure at least three of these teams (Washington, NYJ, Tampa) would be interested in one of those guys.

Of those teams not listed, St. Louis, New Orleans, and maybe even Chicago might be interested in one of them.

Tennessee and the Jets play each other this weekend. After that, the Jets have NE and @MIA. This might be their only shot at a win.

Probability of each team getting the top pick:

Buccaneers: 31%

Jaguars: 24%

Titans: 18%

Jets: 13%

Raiders: 8%

Redskins: .5%

Giants: .5%

I don't think the Jags, Titans, or Raiders grab a QB.  Bucs and Jets seem the most needy so Mariota seems likely to one of them.

I think the titians have the best chance out of those 3 to grab a QB early.. Now if Al Davis was still alive, Mariota might be a raider..

But yeah, bucs and jets are the favorites I think..
