When we are using The Citadel and other Bowl subdivision teams to prove our side of the story, more can be done.  

 

My guess is that if he were playing Florida and it was the second quarter he would go out of bounds early.  If it were a closer game in the 4th quarter he would fight for those three yards.

 

If its 42 to 41....does FSU play any different against Florida than it does The Citadel?

What do you guys not understand about speaking in absolutes? We aren't saying that every single situation is handled differently depending on importance of game / level of opponent. We are saying that there are some times where it becomes a factor. Using anecdotal examples does not prove us wrong because we aren't speaking in absolutes.

Ban bets are pretty common for two posters that can't stand each other and strongly disagree with something.

It's called a ban bet and it's common on other forums. It's not my fault you haven't seen one before. The stakes are much more rewarding for two posters that can't stand each other. What are you scared of?

Regardless, I wouldn't want either you or I to leave this board.  It's a message board with dissenting opinions.  Just because two people don't like each other doesn't mean one should have to leave....over a stupid bet.

I propose a bet.  The Magic will be within 30 games of Miami at the end of the year.  Loser leaves town.  If you don't take it you're scared.  Is that about right?

It was a speculation.....not a slamming my fist on the table sure fire possibility.
