Also- is Cincy the total cesspool it seems to be?

Ever heard of the "Cincinnati Gag Reflex"?         Google that expression        ** warning **   NSFW

You are correct!
ya im not googling that

Quote:As I believe you previously pointed out, bengal tigers and jaguars did (and do) not co-exist on the same continent, so any territorial disputes between the two species would most definitely have not occurred and makes no sense scientifically. The same applies to the Ravens analogy as bengal tigers are not known for eating ravens; the raven would just fly away. In fact, bengals usually eat moose, deer, pigs, cows, horses, buffalos, goats, elephant calves, bears, leopards, tapirs, and the occasional wild dog. But nowhere in that list is a jaguar.

I don't specifically mean bengals and jaguars fought. I just said big cats.

You should- Its actually ( sort of ) sports related...

Well since the Jaguar and Bengal Tiger are both of the Phylum Chordata, the Class Mammalia, the Order Carnivora, the Family Felidae, and the Genus Panthera, they are technically related to each other like cousins. The Bengal Tiger is typically the larger of the cousins so it should dominate. However the Jaguar is a faster cousin so it should out run the Tiger.

Now since they live on different continents at one time both continents were connected so they probably fought over food like cousins. But then since they are playing this game in Cincinnati they are probably going to kiss each other like Cincinnati cousins.

Quote:No it doesn't. It clearly comes from when the ancient egyptians fought off bears with hammers and nails. The bears would try to bite them (the "tooth") and the egyptians would stab them in the nose with their nails (the "nail"). Those were the same nails they were using to build the pyramids. Bears back then were well-known for attacking groups of egyptians while they built the pyramids and the egyptians had to use the only tools available (the nails) to fight back.

I feel like you should brush up on your ancient history.
This is accurate. I've read that in a history book once. It's one of those things not many people realize.

Like when Isaac Newton invented gravity. It's mainly only noticed in autumn when apples are falling off trees. < that! I actually read in a physics book of course.

Correct, the continents were combined millions of years ago. That is why South America and Africa are shaped like they fit together.

But although Bengal tigers are bigger, jaguars have a stronger bite. They kill prey by breaking the skull and eat the brain first.
But on no continent will a Raven kill a Jaguar. In South America a black mamba snake could kill a Jaguar or a Raven or a Colt. But I don't think we play any Black Mambas do we?

The only birds I know to kill cats are owls, and they prefer the smaller type that meow. Otherwise cats kill birds.

Something else I thought about recently: My cat does not know who to root for Sunday.
Your cat better root for the Jaguars or we're kicking you off the message board, traitor!

It can root for truffles... Or, it can root for the Gators, but it'll be a day late.
Quote:Does Dalton play differently at home vs away?

Along the same lines, which unit plays better at home vs away?
The whole team looks like a different/better team at home, We are undefeated for around a year and a half at home..

It's tougher than you think.

What is that supposed to mean?

You mean playing the bungles at home will be tougher than Jags fans think?

You can't possibly mean that.

We've watched this team suck on epic levels over the past three years, shoot itself in the foot repeatedly when actually in position to win, and now trot out as many as 9 rookies among it's starting 22.  Trust me  -  we think beating the Raiders at home would be "tough." Beating ginger-jesus and the thunder-cats in cincy would be like winning the super-bowl for us.
Which one of your DBs will have the most pick 6s? How do you stop a healthy Toby Gerhart?

Seriously though, do you think we have any chance at all?

Nobody can stop a healthy Toby Gerhart better than our own offensive line.
Quote:I think you have to consider where the Bengals played. They got blown out by the Colts and Patriots. I think they would have lost those two games at home too.

Maybe. The Bengals have been smashed by injuries this season.

But, for what it's worth, they beat both the Colts and Patriots in Cincinnati last season (they absolutely embarrassed the Colts,, and basically shut down NE).

Colts wanted payback this year and got it.

If I had to choose one that will ever return one for a Pick 6 against the Jaguars, it will be Terence Newman/Adam Jones/Reggie Nelson to make a Pick 6. To stop Gerhart, we just need to work on our run defense, we have been struggling lately so the Jaguars may do good against our run...

In all honesty, I feel like it could be a trap game, but who knows... I have a feeling the Jaguars won't lose without a cat fight.

Our strengths are run defense and rushing the passer. We shut down running backs, forcing quarterbacks to throw 40 times. The reason we lose games is we the young offense struggles with this thing called the end zone. We can move the ball and dominate TOP, but have to settle for a field goal or turn it over on downs.

LOL - I think this is about the sixth week in a row that the Jaguars' opponents' fans have said "I feel it could be a trap game."
