Quote:Why is there a witch hunt? Gator stories similar to this were blown up on ESPN too. Treon Harris' situation was talked about everyday ad nauseam.

You speak of orange and blue glasses. Take your team colored goggles off from time to time as well.

Lol at Treon Harris being discussed ad nauseam.
Quote:Lol, welcome to being the #1 program in the country. It happens to every school that reaches the top.

I would say fans need to develop a thicker skin...especially if you plan to be on top for a while.

Fyi, after the yelling in the alumni building incident every FSU fan was tired of Jameis and many on this board said they wouldn't be mad if he left after this year. Even FSU fans know he's a liability. Then Karlos Williams is accused of domestic battery and a possible involvement in a drug deal gone bad. Dangerous.

Jimbo needs to really step up and lay out some punishments either internally or externally....because you cant let what happened at UF with Meyer happen there.

It will never even come close to approaching how things were at UF when Meyer was there.
Quote:Lol at Treon Harris being discussed ad nauseam.

LOL at your posts.  That story was discussed and on ESPN the whole week until the charges were dropped.  I wouldn't expect you of all people to actually remember that.

Really?  It's quickly getting there.

Denial...it not just a river in Egypt. :whistling:

It was. ESPN sent a crew there, they had live reports from Gainesville 2-3 times a day for 2 or 3 days.

Talk about being blinded with the garnet/gold glasses.

Oh really? So we're quickly approaching this level?

"In recent years, though, another number has been affixed to the Meyer era. That number is 31, as in, at least 31 arrests of Florida’s football players from 2005 to 2010.

Many of the charges were typical of college campuses: under-age drinking, disorderly conduct, violations of open-container laws. But other, more serious charges included aggravated stalking, domestic violence by strangulation, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny and fraudulent use of credit cards, according to criminal record databases. Most of the cases never went to trial, the charges having been dropped or pleaded down."

Lets say since last offseason, there haven't been numerous issues with FSU football players?  You don't think in the next 4 and a half years that could quickly add up to 31?

Oh and lets not forget the report that stated TPD has been lenient on football players.  I'm sure this is all just that mob mentality that you're all mad about.

Instead of fighting and saying everything isnt true, maybe your program should look in the mirror and be accountable.

Who knows, if not for the TPD there may have been a lot more cases being actually investigated instead of "unfounded" when it was found to be an FSU player.

The TPD never has and never will be lenient towards FSU football players.

Of course I don't expect you or anyone else to believe that. But anyone who has followed FSU football knows they don't do favors for football players out here.

Come on Trav...you know that those news sites just hate FSU and are writing the stories to get page clicks!!

Am I doing this right? Big Grin

I wouldnt expect you to actually think it would happen.  I'm sure you are fully aware of the inner workings of the interaction between the TPD and the FSU football team.

Badger is a Gator homer....and you've surpassed him.

I needed this laugh.

This thread has gone to crap.  There are obvious signs of crime here and people cant see it.

There is no logical conversation going on here.

This is TMD level stuff BigJohn has gone too.

I updated my avatar so we can all avoid confusion on my collegiate affiliation.

Do you think that's really gonna matter?

Tinfoil hats and black helicopters....?
Like I said, I wouldn't expect any of you to believe me. That's fine. You ask any FSU fan who has followed FSU football for a long time and they will tell you the same thing. FSU players have been arrested in the past for the most trivial things.

Willie Meggs took Travis Johnson to trial ten years ago or so over an alleged sexual assault. His accuser claimed he assaulted her. The funny is fourteen days prior to this incident, Johnson had just had reconstructive shoulder surgery. Meggs still took him to trial, and he was acquitted by a jury of all women.

So the notion of protecting football players some of you dolts continue to hound is laughable.

Flame away.

You know that the TPD does not protect the FSU players about as much as I know that they do protect them.   Neither of us really know, but you are the authority on this topic...
