this guy is a transcendent talent.
we're going to be picking top 3ish and we have to take this chap.
i know that WR isn't a need, and we have several areas of need, but this guy is a talent the caliber of AJ Green/Julio Jones/Megatron, in my opinion.
just imagine:
1. Cooper
2. Blackmon
3. Robinson
4. Hurns
5. Lee
in my opinion, he is the best prospect this year by a considerable margin.

i dont see him as being that good. i dont see him as being even as good as sammy watkins. i think theyre actually similar players with watkins being a bit faster and stronger as well.
HERO OF THE DAY, is that you???
i dont think they are similar.
Cooper is a more polished route runner. see his game against VH3 at UF
Watkins gives you a return threat(though i think Cooper could do it)
Cooper is bigger and more physical(don't know how you think Watkins is stronger). have you seen him go up and get jump balls?
Coop has 71 catches and averaging 16 ypc in his career
I would be in utter shock if we picked cooper, Only way I would feel okay about it is if we had traded down and even then I would be wondering why not the others.
Nothing against him as a player I just believe we have far bigger issues to address at this time.
Cooper is great. But damn if we don't need help at about every other position more than wide receiver. The team is in desperate need at tight end, offensive tackle, offensive guard, linebacker, free safety. And you want to take a receiver in the top 5?
agree that we have far bigger issues, but its my belief that this guy is that good that you cant pass him up.

theyre both listed as the same exact height with watkins actually having a pound on cooper.
if watched them both play and to me, watkins has shown more physicality in his game. ive seen him throw defenders around in ways that i havent seen cooper do. thats how i think watkins is stronger.
also yes, have you seen watkins last 2 games? watch him climb the ladder and bring some of those balls in. a couple times taken to the house.

they are different receivers but Cooper is not bigger than Watkins

we can scratch free safety, tight end, linebacker, and offensive guard off the list for a top 5 pick.
but why do you think we have issues at guard? beadles has been solid and linder is playing probably best out of any lineman.
we can scratch QB off of the list. defensive tackle can be scratched off.
running back can be scratched off.
i'd say DE and OT would be the spots.
i dont think Caldwell would take Cooper, but i am saying that I would take him if he is there
Why would you scratch off defensive tackle? Nobody there beyond Marks. Miller is a free agent. Hood is a backup.
If both available, I am taking Leonard Williams over Amari Cooper every day of the week.

how much have you seen Williams play?
Cooper is a good receiver, but he isn't some once every 10-15 years type of prospect like Julio, AJ, Megatron, etc.
Besides, we have too many other needs.
Quote:how much have you seen Williams play?
Probably more than you. I watched him last night and he had two forced fumbles in the first half.

i was only asking a question. wasn't trying to be funny.
i've watched him since high school since he played here and all of his tenure at SC

still doesnt explain why you would scratch those positions off the list.
What makes you say that Cooper is "a talent the caliber of AJ Green/Julio Jones/Megatron"? Those guys all have at least two or three inches and 20 pounds on Cooper.
No thanks to Cooper as our first pick, he is a lesser Watkins.
