Quote:You may be right. I remember some dog teams in those early days too. Jets and Buffalo, Miami had moved on from Marino an NE hadn't elevated Brady yet. So I am not sure the East was that much tougher than the South. But will give you it probably was slightly better. But let's not preten they were great!

I'm not saying (pretending) that PM's early divisions were GREAT back in PM's first 4 years, but they definitely weren't the patsies they are today, they were clearly better.

Luck gets to play his first 4 years in a division where the QB play has been pretty abysmal, except for the Texans 12-4  2012 season, in Luck's 1st yr.

I'm just saying this is the biggest reason that Luck has a better record then PM did in his first few seasons, not because he's clearly better.

PM was 3-13 in his first season and Luck was 11-5, getting him off to a much better start in his career, but it's mostly because Luck played in an awful division and the Texans unreal meltdown after being 12-4 the previous season.

An 8 game lead is hard to lose in a couple of seasons

It is because the Jags board leads the Colts board in the message board standings and by a lot, or they wouldn't be here.

At least the Jags are beating them in something.

The AFC board is superior to the other all inclusive boards! I agree.

And on the other topic. Peyton also played very poorly in his 4th year. The infamous "playoffs?" Meltdown season. That niners game still haunts!

I figured this AFC board was better then others or you guys wouldn't be here, you would be there.

It has been so long since PM played poorly in a season, I can hardly remember it. A game here and there, yeah, but not a season.

Now if you want to talk PM playing poorly in the playoffs, I remember that like it was yesterday.

I can't ever remember a player who played so great in the regular season, but come playoff time had 8, one and done in the playoffs.

The loss (17-16)  in the 1st rd in 2010 to Mark BF Sanchez at home still baffles me to this day.

Are you reading posts that I can't see or something?

Who said Brady was washed up? I NEVER did. Luck was playing better than Brady at that point in the season.

It's really not that hard of a concept to grasp.

im not talking about you?
Quote:Trying to remember when Gabbert outgunned Peyton...I can't
That might be because he's never played him. Derp.

LOL. No different than you replying to this thread. "Get a life"

So you're just talking about the media in general?

Replying to the same topic that I posted about right after me. Interesting.

Its what they do.  I think Hoosiers have a natural inferiority complex.

Oh,  I'll just leave this here:

That was an interesting article. Haven't seen many folks other than hopeful Jags fans agree with him.

To each his own!
Lots of Jaguar fans are allergic to talking football, have to resort to "get a life!!" "Inferiority complex!!"

It's funny and quite sad at the same time.

How many QBs are great by their 3rd year in the league?

Who was the last QB that was great in his 3rd year?

Of ALL the QBs taken since 2012, which one would you take over Luck? I could see a case for RW, anyone else?

To be quite honest, I really don't see a lot of great YOUNG QBs in the NFL right now. All the greats are the older QBs.

Teams should consider themselves lucky to draft an above average young QB, because there hasn't been a great young QB drafted in a long time.

I guess that could depend on YOUR definition of great though.

Luck is probably the closest QB you could consider great, that was drafted in the last few years, but that's also because so many of the other QBs drafted in the last few years have been average to below average QBs so far, with few exceptions.

I don't consider Luck great yet, but I do consider him above average to pretty good right now, but he's only been in the league 2 1/2 years.

He does have the potential to be great though, and will probably move up the QB chain as the true great QBs of today get older and retire.

All this losing is clouding our minds and making us say and do things that we normally wouldn't do, if not for all the losing.

There is also a little Colt jealousy in here too for some of us.

AND, last but not least, of course there will always be a % of us in here that just HATE the clots AND all things clots related and the mere presence of a clot fan in here makes our teal blood boil.

Yet you are still here.     So, if we are "funny and quite sad at the same time", I guess that puts you in the pathetic category.

I actually lived up in indianoplace for quite awhile and witnessed all of the newly minted "life long" colts fans that jumped on the bandwagon and instantly became the most obnoxious fans in the NFL.    Not a fan base (or owner) in the league with less class.

Says a man who has no knowledge of the man who is Jim Irsay.

Have you ever just gave a neighbor 75,000 to keep his business open?

How bout buy an inner school of poverty kids uniforms and tickets to play in an out of state tourney?

Perk I am certain you are the only one showing no class!

Let us not pretend that this city is any better.

I've met Irsay,  I've spoken to Irsay (well, I spoke, he slurrred) and I have experienced how Irsay behaves.  So, I'll stand by my opinion thanks.

Uh, what?

Maybe you should try reading.

I actually talk about football instead of referring to "inferiority complex!!!11!1!" or "get a life!!1!1"

Pathetic.
