Brett Favre wasn't a "can't miss" pick. Drew Brees wasn't a "can't miss" pick. Tom Brady wasn't a "can't miss" pick.

 

My point is that "can't miss" QBs are rare. Heck, there have been some "can't miss" picks that turned out to be total garbage. Jamarcus Russell was a "can't miss" pick. Ryan Leaf was a "can't miss" pick. Joey Harrington was a "can't miss" pick.

 

Get what I'm saying?

 

As for Mariota, I'd be shocked if he DIDN'T go in the first 5 picks. Problem is, the Dolphins have NO shot at him because the 'Phins are nowhere near bad enough to end up in the top 10. You're not gonna like this, but the Jets seem likely to have a great shot at him since Geno Smith is nothing more than hot garbage on a stick.

You told me to "stop" when I criticized bortles. I'm making a point that he isn't above criticism. He wasn't even scouted as a qb going into college, he was a tight end. He has issues, accuracy, footwork that he needs a lot of work on. That's all im saying. I can definetly see the jets getting Mariota, would suck.

The last time either of our teams were relevant was 1999 - 2000 years. Since then both our our teams have been to the playoffs twice. Our playoff games were at least only 3 years apart. Dolphins were, what 7 years? Neither team has been relevant in over 10 years, so Dolphin fans have no reason to be any higher than us.

Your argument is irrelevant, if our owner was interested in moving our team for financial gain we'd be on the top of the list for LA. Please tell me why we're not even in the conversation anymore? It's funny you say we have no evidence to back our side up, but all the articles are only speculation with no evidence as well. Reminds me of all the articles saying we're moving to LA with no evidence. Seems like the evidence speaks for itself here.

Considering I have done neither of those, I would say that is not projecting.

I actually wasn't going for that since no player is above criticism, but you came out and said that he flat out sucks. Obviously, the NFL scouts, coaches, GMs, etc. disagree.

 

You haven't been keeping up with him then because his accuracy has been quite good so far (although I have to admit that his long range accuracy is a pleasant surprise since that was a concern going into the draft). His footwork was completely re-worked and the experts have noticed.

 

Who cares if he started out as a TE? That has very little to do with his ability as a QB (although it may explain his size, weight, and his ability to run). Every stop to think that he always had the talent to be a QB?

 

Every team needs a bit of luck to win in college, even teams like 'Bama. The 2004 Utah Utes are the only team that I can think of right of the top of my head that didn't need luck (they beat every team they played by at least 20 points).

There are a lot of us. Truth be told, growing up in orlando I know more fans from other teams out of state than I know jags fans. Most of your fans I guess live in the panhandle? Which in of it self means you must be a farmer or work at a state prison, sounds Iike fun
