Quote:Now that TC is the head GM and he likes a power backs (taylor, Jacobs)and running the ball, looks like we'll be drafting the bigger, more powerful, faster version of Fred Taylor, Leonard Fournette.
Faster than Fred??? He ran a 4.29.
Quote:Didn't watch much LSU, but how is their OL? Hard to say how good he'd be in the NFL if the OL is full of scrubs who won't be drafted
Guice looked like a world beater behind the LSU o-line.....
I imagine that any back would look good behind that line.
Quote:Fred was Freaky Fast
I know, faster than Fred is rediculous, same size as LF too.
Mid round RBs please. Don't use the number 4 on a running back.

Fournette is not the answer. He will be a bust in the NFL. I've seen him disappear in games his line wasn't dominating in. I'd much rather have Cook with great vision and elite speed behind an average line at best most of college career.

Definitely. Cook has more talent hands down. Just weighs a lil less. Him and Yeldon will fix our backfield issues.

While I agree Cook is more talented I dont kill Fournette for his Alabama games. It was like running into 3-4 guys in the backfield every play. Couldnt do anything against that.

Yeah I feel ya but I just have a bad feeling about Fournette. When they take that last year off it doesnt really pan out well most of the time. Cook>fournette all day and im a gator fan
I would be fine sticking with ivory and yeldon. Tom got tiki barber to fix the ball security issues, no reason marrone and tom cant get ivory to.
He has some tread left on his tires and easily buys us some time so we dont have to force a rb selection.

I just think it would be for other reasons, Im a gator fan too and agree.
Quote:No disrespect to T.J. Yeldon, or any current Running Back, but this team needs a good running back. I've seen it too many times, and really, the reason the Offense stinks is due to the fact that there is no threat in the back field. Yeldon is good. . . don't get me wrong. Seriously, the Jags haven't had a 1,000 rusher in years since Mo Jo-Drew. And even then, Fred Taylor, and before that James Stewart. I've looked at the incoming crop of soon to be Draftees, and I really don't see anyone who can fit this criteria for the team. Like I said, this team is in dire need of a running back. And I don't see one in this year's draft coming up in April. Does anyone here see things differently than me? If so, please tell I'm wrong.
Who is your connect??? You on that good stuff! Go lookup Dalvin Cook highlights then come back here..

Not against UF especially in short yardage or goal line situation

Just like Fournette looked pretty pedestrian when Alabama worked over the LSU o-line. That tells me neither guy is that great.

LOLOLOL NO WAY is Fournette faster than Freddy.
