Dolphins fans are more optimistic than others were, but know better than to assume they will run over us. From Fin Heaven:
Quote:I like Gus Bradley. He seems to be positive and energetic. He took on a tough job.
Looking at some stats, Jacksonville has quite a few sacks and is giving up under 4 yards per rush. However, they seem vulnerable versus the pass and losing their MLB will hurt their run D.
I stand by my prediction a few weeks ago…Miami wins ugly…but it counts.
Quote:We will win. Glad Jags got their 1st win last week.
Quote:Hope we don't play down to the level of our competition like we always doI would give anything to win by 62 (or more) to 7 (or less). To this day that's still the most painful loss ever for me as a Dolphins fan.
Quote:South Florida native JT Thomas (Born: Ft Lauderdale. High School: Ely) will move inside to MLB to replace Posluzny who was responsible for the defensive calls. Thomas was cross-trained at outside and inside linebacker during training camp but has played mainly on special teams this season. He has three tackles. After watching the jags/browns game on NFL Replay, they remind me a lot of Buffalo. Their DL plays with tons of energy. This will be a huge test for our OL. If Pouncey plays like he has the last two weeks we might not win. Their fans are very loud and really get behind their team even though they have a bad record. This is not going to be as easy as some think.
Quote:Something else to look for that I am not sure a lot of fans know about. They have a swimming pool in the stadium that has a glass side so everyone can see what is going on. They have fans in the pool during the game and before/after commercials they pan across the pool under the waterline. Some interesting stuff going on there, lol. The camera accidentally caught some stuff I don't think they meant to catch. Some funny clips, go back and watch if you have NFL Replay. Some weeks there are times that it is probably more interesting to watch than the game when they are getting blown out.
Other fans said this is a trap game before they play against the Chargers. One poster's prediction is 62-7, which I assume is just wishful thinking.
Are you trying to reach the all time post count? FBT will never give it up.
Here's what a Jaguars fan says about the dolphins... The dolphins are the same team that they've been for over a decade. .They're never any good, but they can always beat you.

That fan is referring to the 1999 season playoff game. Marino's final game in the NFL. We beat them 62-7. I don't think that is his prediction, he's just kind of making a joke.
Unless of course you already knew this then I apologise. Lol.

62-7 Marino's last game as a Dolphin vs Jags. Not wishful thinking, just taking a stroll down memory lane.

I know that, but it is still wishful thinking if he is hoping a reverse score will happen.
That was the best Jaguars game ever.

Why would I think about doing that? I have had so many usernames that is impossible. This is just a fun way to talk about our next opponent.

I doubt they think that would be the score, just a tongue in cheek nod to the game.

But they probably want it to be!
Anyway, what do you think of the other posters who are not very confident about winning?
Maybe our fortunes would be reversed if they beat us 62-7. Reverse the Marino curse so to speak.

CBS fired Marino, which should have removed the curse. The football gods have been appeased.

But Fox did not fire Jimmy Johnson.

So we stink all on our own now? Darnit.

Nah, the Marino curse just prevented us from getting a good QB. We suck because years of bad drafting. The curse of Hiring Gene Smith. It's a curse who's effects we will feel until Gene stops drawing a Jags paycheck.

Well now we have a good quarterback again and that is what matters Sunday.
It is nice to know some Dolphins fans respect us after we only won one game.
A funny anecdote about that game was the sprinkler system going off. The game was on a Saturday evening and the sprinkler system was set to water the field on Saturday evening before a Sunday game. With all that was going on to host a playoff game and the chaos of TV sets, boom trucks, special field painting, etc. the crew failed to think of the sprinkler system timer.

We need a gif of that one. More recently Miami's own stadium had its sprinkler go off during a 1:00 game.
Since that game has taken over this thread I will pile on . The streets were lined with fin fans trash talking, and the walk back to the car saw many of the same trash talkers crying , how I enjoyed asking them .How did they score seven ? brings back a smile
There fans are similar to us, except they have won a few more games. Like them, we give respect to our opponents and always expect to overthink and loose. The biggest variable in this game I think will be Bortles, I hate how the auto correct puts red under his name, coming off one of his worst performances. He has been given a lot of media criticism about his poor performance. I think he will have a fire in him that will help us put up, wait for it, 450 yards passing. I may be dreaming, but the way our receiver's are developing.... I also love the comment on how loud our fans can be on home turf....awesome!!!!
I love that we have left that mark on the phins. What a wonderful win and moment in history that was
I'm glad they dont seem to think they are going to just kill us on sunday, Now I hope they dont

I respect your opinion. I doubt he reaches 200 yards. I still think the Jags fight hard. That is pretty high expectations against a D that has faced some pretty good QBs this year. He can have all the fire in the world. I think he is going to be good at some point. His name did not change to Manning since last week. He has a real Defense to contend with this week and they are going to pin their ears back and go after him.
