I do believe that Trump picked the right person to be Secretary of Defense (Gen James Mattis).  Finally it appears that the military will abandon the misguided focus on political correctness and get back to the core job.

Women had full combat roles in the early days of the Israeli military but that was discontinued after the remains of a female soldier were abused. They were reinstated in combat roles in 2010 and they currently make up about 3% of Israel's combat forces. Every female has a right (and duty) to serve in the military though and 51% of officers in the IDF are female. 

It's amazing to me.  They (The Navy) actually wasted a lot of training time addressing "transgender issues".  I mean really?  Who gives a flying [BLEEP] if some fruitcake "decides" that he's not a male or vice versa?  That's their own personal business and has nothing to do with the job at hand.

 

The Navy also failed when they tried to take sailor's titles away from them in an attempt to make "everyone the same".  What is even more ridiculous is when they tried to change job titles to be "non-gender specific".  As an example, the job of a Radioman changed to "Radio Specialist" in order to be "inclusive".  The thing is, job titles like that as well as others (Fire Controlman) have a lot of tradition in The Navy.  Nobody's saying that a female can't hold those positions, all that's being said is the title shouldn't be changed and/or taken away.

What alarms me the most is the lack of combat readiness. The patrol boat that was captured by the Iranians should have never happened and the behavior of some of the crew was embarrassing. That one incident was highly indicative of the lax attitudes of the chains of command who are more concerned with toeing the PC line to get promoted than to ensure their troops are properly trained. Not to mention the bravado of hostile militaries which freely challenge us because they're keenly aware of the lack of fortitude by this administration and the climate it has fostered amongst the ranks.
